truce.

you're now connected with a random stranger. say hi!

you and the stranger both like suicide.

tyler's webcam was on. he was in the middle of the shot, looking straight into the lens. josh's webcam was off, and it took him by surprise to see tyler's face right away. he quickly types.

You: ???

tyler doesn't say anything, he just blinks his tired, bloodshot eyes.

You: ty are you okay?? you dont look so good..

Stranger: im not going to say anything.

You: oh

Stranger: but can i sing for you?

josh's eyes widen and he quickly turns on his webcam.

"please do."

tyler looks down sadly at the keys on his piano and lightly begins to play them. josh watches his every move, still unable to process what is going on.

tyler takes a deep breath and exhales loudly.

"now the night is coming to an end, the sun will rise and we will try again."

josh's mouth parts slightly as the beautiful, angelic voice fills his ears. (not going to lie i'm actually sobbing right now help)

"stay alive, stay alive for me. you will die, but now your life is free, take pride in what is sure to die."

tyler's red eyes begin to water as tears flow down his cheeks. he sniffles but continues on singing.

"I will fear the night again."

he begins to cry even harder as he pours his heart and soul out in front of the person watching him.

"i hope i'm not my only friend."

josh can feel his own heart start to break.

"stay alive, stay alive for me. you will die, but now your life is free. take pride in what is sure to die."

by now, his cheeks are soaked with hot tears and his eyes sting painfully. josh's eyes start to water, too. the song ends with tyler lightly playing the last keys, and putting his hands on his lap.

josh smiles gently and claps his hands together a couple times, trying to hide his tears.

tyler bites his lip hard to keep himself from breaking down again. he's never done that for anybody before.

"tyler," josh smiles gently. "that was just... amazing."

tyler whimpers slightly and bites his lip harder. he wants to talk, but he's afraid.

"i'd love to hear more sometime if you'd let me." josh grins, wiping his eyes on his sleeves.

tyler blushes and looks down at his feet. blurry was wrong. josh really does care about him.

Stranger: thank you.

"you're welcome." josh replies. "you have a beautiful voice, ty."

tyler blushes even more and looks away from the camera so josh wouldn't notice, but josh did notice and it made him happy. he thought it was cute.

"are you finished any other songs?"

tyler nods.

"good." the purple-haired boy smiles. "because i'll be waiting to hear them."

Stranger: ill see you tomorrow jish :)

You: goodnight ty

josh smiles at his screen and leans back in his chair. his mind screams the idea over and over again. the one that he'd never thought he would ever admit to anyone, not even his own self. or at least before he met the sad, lonely boy on the internet.
