Riley's POV

I walked into school Nathan by my side as we both listened to music. One earbud in my right ear, the other in his left as we walked side by side holding hands. His hands were so soft, and amazing to hold, it brought a smile to my face. I looked around to notice people were staring confusion arising onto their faces making me look up at Nathan who's too busy staring down at his phone to notice. It's crazy how far we have gotten him and I. I knew from the very start he would have made a huge difference in my life but I didn't think it would be his major. I slowly let go of his hands dropping the earbud as I headed to my locker starting to open it up. Nathan stands by my side putting his phone away as I opened my locker and paused when I saw someone open their locker and a picture fell out. I watched as the girl picked it up and placed it back into her locker and I couldn't help but to notice it was a picture of her, and her boyfriend. I smiled turning away an idea popping into my head.

"What's with the outfit?" Nathan asks me grabbing my gray hoodie but I gently smacked his hand away.

"I like this hoodie is there a problem?"

"No id just rather see some more skin you know?" He says winking at me making me roll my eyes at his stupid jokes.

"Perhaps not. Hey wanna do something fun?"

"Depends." He says as I close my locker and we start heading to class.

"Wanna have a photoshoot?"

"A photoshoot? Why exactly?"

"I don't know I just realized we don't have any pictures together. No pictures means no memories and were off to college soon and well.. do I have to say it?" I tell him the thought of the future scaring me because the future is so close and I don't know if I'm ready for it. I don't think I'm ready to handle all the responsibilities that will be coming my way,it's so hard for me to imagine. All I know is I want him in it.

"I understand. It's right around the corner you know? Just a few months away and we're heading our separate ways." He says staring down into my eyes and I can't help but too notice him start to tear up a bit bringing sadness within side of me and my heart.

"I know that's why I thought maybe this photoshoot thing would be fun. It doesn't have to be professional just two goofballs in a backyard with a camera taking funny pictures together." He smiles at that, and I can't help but too lean in and hug him wrapping my arms around him so tightly because I never want to let him go.

"I like the idea. So when will we do it?" He asks hugging me back making me smile against his chest.

"Whenever we have time." I say. "Do you have a camera?"

"No but we can use our phones."

"But it's not the same." I say pouting because I want to take real nice pictures with a nice professional camera.

"Well do you have money?"

"No."

"Well neither do I." He says making me laugh. He chuckles, and turn around to see Chelsea an Matt walking towards our direction. Nathan and I look up at each other confused, then look back at them as Nathan steps a tiny bit closer to me. He's so over protective it's adorable.

"Hey guys." Matt says as Chelsea stands there awkwardly.

"Hi Matt." I say staring back at Chelsea who hasn't said a single world, and I'm confused as to why she's here.

"So whats up?" He asks looking at me and not Nathan.

"Okay I suppose." I say fixing my book bag that's falling off my shoulder. "Hi Chelsea. You look great, is the baby healthy?" I ask smiling at her trying to be nice. Every time I see her I think about the kiss Matt and her shared but like I said I'm not the type to hold grudges. She looked up at me sending me a smile, and nodded.

"Thank you Riley I appreciate the compliment, and yes our baby is healthy. You look great too." She says shocking me because she's never been nice to me before.

"Thanks. I'm glad to hear that." I say smiling at her my brain spinning in circles.

"It's nothing. So Nathan I don't think we've ever actually spoken before." Chelsea says sending him a smile.

"No we haven't." He responds smiling but it doesn't seem genuine at all.

"Well I'm happy we are now."

"Yeah sure." Nathan says looking up at Matt who's smiling.

"Well we wondering if you guys maybe wanted to have lunch together today. Maybe do something different for a change. Maybe we could go out to eat somewhere." Matt suggests. I'm not sure what's going on or how I feel about any of this because this is so rare.

Nathan looks down at me, and I look up at him smiling.
"Sure why not?" I say smiling at him and Chelsea. They smile, and look up at each other making me feel some type of way but I'm okay. I'm just curious to know if they are dating or not now but I don't want to just ask.

"Awesome. How about we go to the cafe downtown?" Chelsea asks.

"Sure. I've never been there before and neither has Nathan so that should be fun."

"Cool. Well we will see you later." Matt says as Chelsea and him walk down the halls together causing talk to arise. Nathan grabbed my hand dragging me into the janitors closet as he locked the door turning on the light.

"Ow why so hard?" I pout rubbing my arm up and down gently for he dragged the crap out of me.

"What the hell was that?" He asks afraid and scared.

"I don't know you tell me. It's like we stepped into an alternate universe. Since when has Chelsea ever been nice to me? Never. I didn't even know nice was in her vocabulary."

"Since when has Matt stood in front of me that long without wanting to punch me in the face?"

"Are we?"

"Dead? Maybe. It's okay maybe we're on the other side, and we're hallucinating or something." he's really freaking out right now.

"Snap out of it!"I say grabbing his shoulders slapping him in the face. He looks at me eyes wide open, and I can't help but too burst out into laughter. I laugh loud and hard holding my stomach as he rubbed his cheek.

"What was that for?"

"I don't know I never slapped anyone in the face just wanted to try it. Sorry." I say kissing his cheek making him relax.

"That made it better." He says making me giggle. "But seriously why did you agree to lunch with them? I have an odd feelings about all of this. It's so random don't you think?"

"I don't know I mean Matt and I said we would be friends so maybe he's trying to make things not be so awkward, and go back to normal in a way? I'm not sure."

"Yeah but what about Chelsea what's her deal?"

"Maybe she's just trying to be nice for Matt. We all know she loves him,she always has...I'm not going to overthink it. We already agreed let's just go."

"Okay fine." He says sighing running his hands through his hair.

"By the way your cute when your freaking out, and being all protective over me."

"I can't wait to call you mine."

"Me too. We should go now."

"Yeah let's go." What is Chelsea up to? But whatever it is it can't be good.
