The ex-Avengers has gotten a pardon and were no longer considered outlaws since everything with Thanos happened. They had moved back into Stark Tower-the compound being under construction- and tension were high on their arrival day.

Cap and his team just landed at Stark Tower and we're now filling in, waiting for instruction as to where to go. Bucky and Scott were the only members that did not accompany them, Bucky deciding it would be better to stay in Wakanda and Scott under house arrest.

Tony was busy pacing back and fourth questioning if he should just jump out a window so he didn't have to see Caps team. Stephen was leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest, watching the shorter male pace.

"Are you sure I can't just jump out of the window? I mean I'm fully capable of doing so." Stephen shook his head at the mechanic. "Tony, I told you that I'll accompany you if you need me too." Tony immediately shook his 'no' at the doctor.

"I told you no. You need to be at the Sanctum not dealing with my problems." Stephen lowered his hands from his chest and walked to Tony, gently taking hold of his wrist. With a wave, a orange 'bracelet' formed around Starks wrist.

"If I'm not gonna be here I'm leaving you with this. It will inform me if you are in danger. I will make sure to check on you whenever possible. You are under my protection." Tony grumbled slightly, not liking the feeling of being babied. "I told you I can take care of myself, Strange." Stephen just gave a quiet chuckle.

"Just making sure." Tony slowly pulled his arm away from the sorcerer and inspected the 'bracelet'. It was orange, like most of Stranges magic. It gave a soft glow, one that wasn't quite noticeable but still soothing. It was solid and didn't give off any sparks which Tony was great full for, it would've begun to piss him off otherwise.

Stephen turned away to make a gateway to the sanctum before looking at Tony.
"I will take my leave now. Remember to keep me updated, I want to make sure you are okay." Tony rolled his eyes and pushed Stephen through the gateway.

"Yeah yeah, Wizard. Go be a hero or whatever, I'll be fine." Stephen rolled his eyes before closing the gateway, leaving Stark by himself.

Right before Tony was about to go into the common room to face the ex-Avengers, Rogers quickly rushed away before being spotted.

He heard the whole damn thing.

Steve met up with his team but kept quiet, not wanting to risk being caught by Stark. They all gave him glances and he nodded. Tony walked into the common room with a blank expression, hiding any and all emotion he was feeling. The room was very tense as the billionaire kept a fair distance away.

"Stark." Steve spoke up first. Tony pulled a pair of sunglasses down and looked at his former friend. "Rogers." His voice was cold and unforgiving, sending chills down Steve's spine.

"First some ground rules-" "ground rules?" Wanda spat, looking at the billionaire. Tonys gaze narrowed on the witch. "Yes." Stark spat with venom in his tone. "Ground rules."
