All the people filed in, and everyone was able to fit on the tables. We put out two other ones earlier so each guest could be seated.  They all talked quietly and politely as they ate, I stood in the background by the door. I couldn't help but stare at Mason, as he talked with the guests and many girls flirting and surrounding him. I didn't like it, what if he liked one of those girls? What if one of them tried to kiss him!? I was shaking as I watched, and slightly cried though nothing went wrong yet.  The girls twirled their hair and seemed to giggle every so often. Mason surprisingly enough talked to them, but he still had a emotionless, and uninterested expression as he normally did.

One girl in particular put her hand on his shoulder and got very close to him, he rolled his eyes and got her hand off as if she was a dirty rag.  A shy girl waved to him, and said something that I couldn't make out, he just shrugged and said something that seemed to be "No" or related to that.  I saw him glance over at me and I quickly hid and covered my mouth to keep from yelping. Right then I saw two people, old friends Gideon and Pacifica.

It looked like they were just about to get my attention. Pacifica smiled "Heyy Will! Long time no see!" She chirped. I shyly nodded "Y-Yeah.. What a-are you doing h-here? I-I dont remember g-giving an invitation to y-you two..." Gideon piped up "Well- Mabel came to invite me herself, but I said I wouldn't go unless Pacifica came, so we both got invitations" he explained. That sounds like something Mabel would do.  "I-I see" Pacifica nodded "So what are you doing? Oo, are you staring at a girl!?" She looked past me to try and guess who it was. "N-No! Its n-nothing like that!" I said quickly. "You suuuree? Looks to me like you were" she pressed, with a smirk. "I-Im sure! I was j-just watching t-to make sure the twins d-dont get attacked o-or kidnapped-" I explained hoping it was believable. She sighed "Oh alright- well, will you be in the ballroom later?" Pacifica asked. I nodded "I-I will" "Yay! Well, we're going to sit down. Come with us!" She then grabbed both, Gideons and my wrist, and pulled us into the dining room "N-No Pacifica I-I really shouldn't-" I said as she dragged me but she set me in a chair. "Well you might aswell since you're here!"

I couldn't help but notice some people stare at me, probably because I looked weird or even ugly. I lowered my head and tried not to notice their gazes. "I've never seen so much food!" Pacifica said with starry eyes. "I bet most of its poisioned.." Gideon said unsure.  She then shoved a lobster tail in his mouth "Come onn, its really good!" He coughed and I laughed a little bit, when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I looked over and saw a girl, who looked like a badass or something. She wore all black and had long red hair, probably very popular for her looks. "Hello. I couldn't help but notice you walked in. I wanted to know who you were, I've never seen you before" he said putting a hand on her hip, a bit seductively. I was a bit surprised. She probably wanted my name to humiliate me later.  She looked like that type of person.  "U-Um.. I-I.." before I could make up an excuse and leave Pacifica butted in "This is Will!" She said with a big smile. "Who are you?" The girl looked at Pacifica for a moment and rolled her eyes "Im Wendy" she eyed the other, like she was a pesky bug.  "Anyway, I was wondering if later in the ballroom you'd want to dance with me? My date didn't make it" she said rolling her eyes once more. I didnt know what to say, I was frozen. Would Mason be okay with it? I mean, its just a little dance. It doesn't mean anything. "U-Um.. Why w-would you w-want to dance with m-me..?" I asked quietly. "You're cute, of course" she said obviously.  "I didn't want another girl to ask you before me. Didn't you see them all staring at you?" Yes. I did. But I thought it was in shock or disgust of my appearance. Not from them thinking I was cute!

I sat there frozen. Soon Pacifica whispered in my ear "Do it! This is a good opportunity" and without thinking much I said "U-Um.. Okay. I-Ill dance with y-you..." She smiled "Good. See you then sweetie" then she leaned in and kissed my cheek. "Theres your preview" she said in my ear. Then she walked off, her hips swaying greatly. And I sat there frozen and in shock. Mason is going to be so angry with me.
