*Theo’s POV*

“Okay, the scenes tonight are kind of intense.” Rob says, his eyes on the script.

We’ve been filming scenes in the Erudite headquarters for awhile now. Tris, Shailene’s character went against Four’s, my characters, wishes and gave herself over to the Erudite. Tris sacrificed herself to Jeanine, the lady who is the main reason that the city has undergone dreadful changes, and has been stuck in a cell and tested like a lab rat.

The location that we are currently at is just an empty, long, white hall. We are both in our costume clothes. Hers are more torn up than mine; her hair purposefully looks greasy and she has makeup under her eyes to look like bags from no sleep. She truly looks like hell. The makeup guys are very good at what they do, because her cheeks appear hollow and she seems like she has been crying and screaming and tortured. My makeup is just some blood trailing from my ear, my eyebrow, and my lip. We both look filthy.

Shailene doesn’t really like that she can’t have her own makeup artist do her makeup for this franchise. She prefers all 100% natural makeup, all done by a friend of hers, but since there are people hired who have been trained to do her makeup a certain way, she had no choice. They meet her in the middle though, and purchased all the products used on her from a place she told them about.

“So basically what’s going to happen is Tris will be walking to the lab room for more testing, and she hears something and looks up to see Tobias thrashing against two guards, all bloody. Once he sees her he stops, and then you guys say your lines.”

I nodded, looking at Shai to see if she had anything to say.

“We’re going to get some shots of you guys individually first,” The director of the cameras said to us.

I stood off to the side and watched as Shailene did her part. She walked down the hall with her eyes trained to the floor, looking half dead; Miles’ hand clutching her arm. They did it a few times before it was my turn. I walked down the other end, and when Rob yelled “ACTION”, I thrashed against the two guards besides me, my eyes frantically looking everywhere but at the cameras. They ignored my kicks and swipes at them and hauled me down the hall. We did that a few more times before they were sure they had the take they wanted.

“ACTION,” Someone says again.

Shailene continues to walk down the hall, but then she looks up and freezes in her tracks. “Tobias,” She says in a weak, gasping voice.

They do that once more before changing the angle of the cameras. This time it is aimed at both of us.

“ACTION,”

We stumble towards each other, and there is still a gun pressed to the back of my head by one of the guards, but I am no longer restraining against them.

“What did you do?” She whispered.

“What did you do?” I growl back.

Her eyes look angry and frightened and sad all at once. “WHAT DID YOU DO?” She screams at me.

The guards start pulling me away from her. “You die, I die too.” I say, looking over my shoulder at her. “I asked you not to do this. You made your decision. These are the repercussions.”

I disappear around the corner and someone yells cut. We watch the scene on the small monitor to see how it looks and then do it a few more times from a different angle.

“You guys are coming to dinner tonight, right?” Rob asks us later when we are all done with shooting for the night.

“Hell yeah!” Shai says, smiling at him and then looking over at me. My eyes were already on hers, as they are usually. I can never help but gravitate towards her, and it’s always been like that. She is such a positive sun in a world that is often very dark, so when I’m near her, I cannot see around her.
