*Theo's POV*
We have been completely done filming Insurgent for a month now, and we've had time to ourselves for a while. Once Shailene had started to show, they made sure that all of her scenes were okay and done. She still stayed in Atlanta with me, because I had other scenes to shoot by myself. They dressed her in lose shirts near the very end. Now she is three and a half months along and there is a pretty distinct bump between her hips, considering she was so skinny before.
After we had told all of her family and all of my family in person, which was pretty nerve racking, we let the public know through a radio interview. I guess I could say that everything turned out fine, but fine is an understatement. Our families were shocked, but happy for us, and the media is pretty excited for what they call the "Sheo baby." We've been staying in a little modest home I rent in California.
"Theo, none of my pants fit me." Shailene says, walking into our room. She has panties on and a t-shirt. "It's so annoying."
I smile. "I guess you'll just have to walk around without em, don't worry, I won't judge." She glares at me and I laugh. "Well what would you like me to do? What do other pregnant women do once they don't fit their clothes?"
"Buy more..."
"Then let's go buy some clothes for you. You can't go forever without them." She looks like she's about to argue, but I know what she'll say. "Thrift shops don't have a maternity section Shai."
She laughs. "Shut up."
She ruffles through my drawer and pulls out sweatpants. She pulls them on and rolls them up a little bit. She does a silly dance move to show me that she is comfortable.
"So are you just going to wear my clothes for the next six months?"
"Maternity clothes sound so ugly. And I like these."
"Your mom will go with you... And I'm sure you're stylist will have a lot of fun fitting your dresses to you." I say sarcastically.
She rests one hand on her stomach and the other on her hip. "Stop being sassy with me Theo, you knocked me up, you have to cater to me for now on."
I laugh and motion for her to come to me. She stands over me as I sit on the edge of the bed. I lift up her shirt and stare at the round bump in between her hips. I put both my hands on her stomach and close my eyes, a small smile on my lips.
"Are you sure you don't want to know?" I ask her again. We've seen a sonogram picture of the baby a few times, but the last time we went they informed us that we could know whether or not the baby was a boy or a girl, and Shai didn't want to know.
"I don't want to."
I nod okay and press my lips to her stomach once, twice, three times.
"I love our little baby," I say, squinting up at her.
"Me too."
She crawls into bed and wraps the blanket around her in an awkward position, and then changes it, and changes it again. She sighs and sits up, her arms folded across her chest. "You know those really long pillows?"
"I think so,"
"I want one. I watched a movie once where Jennifer Lopez was pregnant, and she slept with one of those and it helped, and I've become sort of restless in my sleep."
"But you have me," I joke.
She purses her lips and falls back onto the pillows. "Nahh... I think I still want that pillow."
I grab my phone from the bedside table and start searching for one of the long pillows online.
"Theo?"
