When We Realize (A Sheo Fanfic)

Chapter Nine

*Theo's POV*

The next two weeks pass by quickly. We do nonstop filming day and night, and although it seems overwhelming, it isn't. We've made so many new friends, and every day on set is something new. We go out to dinners, go to local concerts, sing karaoke at bars, and tons of other insane things. The movie seems to be coming along well, and I am overjoyed to be able to be a part of this experience, especially having Shailene by my side the whole time.

I had to meet with my manager today after filming, to discuss future movie opportunities with him. He has many ideas, and I'm shocked at how many directors have contacted him, hoping to have me play main roles in their movies. I walk towards Zoe Kravitz apartment. She had told me earlier that a lot of the cast would be coming over for a mini "Insurgent party." It's getting pretty late, so hopefully not everybody has left. I don't know whether or not Shai will be there, since lately she has been having bad cramps or something.

I knock on the door and no one answers, but I can hear music playing pretty loudly, so I walk in. I immediately notice cups scattered around the place, and Miles, Keiynan, and Ansel dancing on one side of the living room, laughing crazily. They seem drunk, but their dance moves are all quite good. Ansel isn't drinking because he isn't twenty-one and likes to follow rules, which is fine. Their dance moves are actually quite good, and I know that Ansel and Keiynan both have a background in dancing.

On the other side of the room is Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, who plays Eric, Jonny Weston, who plays Edgar, and Ben Lamb, who plays Edward. I hear Shailene's laugh over the music, and it must be coming from the kitchen. I peer around the corner and see a group of girls, all talking in hushed voices and laughing. I also see Zoe, Rosa Salazar, who was cast as Lynn, and Suki Waterhouse, who plays Marlene. Shai's eyes flicker to mine briefly, but then look away.

"Theo!" Keiynan calls from across the room. "We know that you can dance! Get ova here!"

I chuckle and walk over to them. I grin as Ansel does some hipster dance move and Miles tries to copy it. Miles hands me a cup overflowing with alcohol and I sip at it so it doesn't get everywhere. I dance with them for a little while, laughing at how crazy they're acting.

I talk with Jai Courtney for a while too, because he is a really cool dude, and also have a long and totally random conversation with Maggie Q and Suki Waterhouse about The Wizard of Oz. They're both pretty drunk as well, and Suki keeps mixing up The Wizard of Oz with Mary Poppins for some reason, and then starts giggling uncontrollably. I sip from my cup slowly. I don't really want to get drunk tonight, and plus I want to be able to keep an eye on Shailene.

When the rest of the girls come out of the kitchen and into the living room, some of them are stumbling, but then again, so is pretty much everyone else. They walk over to greet me, and I talk with them for a while. Eventually they all scatter off, and I'm standing there alone with Shai, even though it may only be for a few minutes.

"Theo," She says, wrinkling her nose. "Today when I was walking to the complex I got fucking trampled by fans. I don't even know if they were fans or just people who wanted to get a fucking picture with me but it was awful and so scary because no one was with me."

My eyes widen and I grab her arm because she looks like she is going to tip over. "They swarmed you?" This is the type of thing that I try to prevent. It scares the shit out of me knowing that if one or two people recognize her in a crowd, they all will turn and freak out.

"They had their phones in my face. I don't fucking get it. Why do they need to do that can't they just like say hi and we can act like real human beings?"

"How'd you get out?"

"I... um... I got kind of mad. I just told them if they would stop I'd take pictures with all of them, so I did, and it took forever. Then the guards from the comlex came, because I guess someone told those bald dudes and they helped me get back safely."
