*Theo’s POV*

A month later we start the promo. We have to fly around everywhere to do radio interviews, sit down interviews, another photo shoot, youtube interviews, and premieres. The interviews have always been one of my favorite parts of the promo, because we just sit in a room and get asked funny questions, and Shai and I act all flirty and silly. We did that even before, now that I think about it. I’m so happy that this all worked out, because it would kill me if the biggest franchise in her career was canceled, and people were let down, all because I got her pregnant.

We sit down in a room and the camera is turned on. “Hey guys, it’s nice to meet you! Firstly I would just like to congratulate you two on your engagement and baby on the way.” The girl says. She’s pretty young and seems generally excited to be here interviewing us.

“Thanks man!” Shai says. “It’s nice to meet you too!”

I nod my head. “Okay, so my first question is do you think that your characters Four and Tris mature a lot from the first film to the second?”

“Yeah definitely,” Shai says, itching her neck. “I think that Tris came into herself so much during the first film. She has to grow up real quick, and I don’t think they have much room for being young anymore. There’s so much happening in their society, so it’s really serious for them. You know?” She looks at me and I nod my head in approval.

“Um, Four and Tris constantly face new battles, so I think it’s not possible for them to not mature from all of them. Just like regular people.”

I think of Shailene and I, and all the experiences we’ve had. I’ve learned and I’ve matured from all of them. It’s never too late to learn something from someone or something that happens to you, and I’m thirty.

“Has it been hard dealing with everything all at once? I know that you probably had a lot on your mind with filming and the pregnancy. Was it ever hard to deal with?”

Shailene spoke first. “It’s not hard to deal with when you take things day by day. This is all relative, but it’s my life. You know? The pregnancy definitely made things more interesting, but it’s not something that we can’t handle.”

“We don’t see magazines or gossip sites, so we don’t hear any of the bad things anybody has to say. We do the best we can do for us, not for anybody else.”

“That’s great to hear,” The interviewer says. “Now I have some twitter questions from your fans.”

Shai nods her head, smiling. “Awesome let us hear em!”

“This one is from @faultinoursheo and she wants to know how was filming Insurgent different from filming Divergent and what was your favorite part in Insurgent?

“Ummm,” I say, thinking.

“Have you guys seen the movie yet?” The lady asks us. “I got to see it yesterday; I know the release day isn’t for another few weeks.”

“We have actually, yeah.” Shai tells her. “We all got to sit down in a room and watch the final product on a big screen, it was sick. And to answer her question, it was different because it was a new surrounding. We filmed in Chicago last time, and Neil was the main director, and this time we were mostly in Atlanta and Rob directed it. It kinda seemed like Divergent on steroids, because it all got more intense.”

I laugh. “We were all a lot closer, we were like a big family, and then we got introduced to so many people… So our family was extended I guess you could say.” I look over at Shailene and she smiles. “And my favorite part in the movie is the… um… Ooh, when Four is with all the factionless and they are invading Erudite in the end, and he walks into the room and Tris is there. I don’t know, I like that part because it’s sort of unexpected because she was supposed to stay in Abnegation, that little rebel.”

“I like that one too,” Shai nods. “I like all the Amity scenes too.”

“@TheSheoLife asks, What was it like doing all the kiss scenes?

Shailene and I both laugh and glance at each other. It’s silent for a long moment, our faces serious, and then we laugh again. The interviewer probably thinks we are insane.

“It was fineee,” Shai says. “Everyone on set is super respectful and Theo isn’t too bad of a kisser, so I put up with it.”

I roll my eyes, smirking. “It was nice, because we are comfortable around each other. Stuff like that is a lot easier when you have a close relationship with the person you have to do it with, and Shai and I are obviously pretty close. And I think it showed onscreen.”

“Okay, this next one is from @fxbnegation and she wants to know, How was it filming with the new cast members?

“So fun!” Shailene exclaims. How am I so in love with her voice? It’s so squeaky and light and energized…

“It’s great, we got to boss them all around, like ‘Hey new guy, what are you doing this is our table’” They both laugh and I grin. “No, but it was really cool. They were all so down to Earth and we got to hang out with them a lot. And it’s going to be fun working with them in the next movies as well.”

The interviewer looks at her paper. “This is from @Luxi_Private. What do you love most about Theo/Shailene?”

Shai turns in her chair, her eyebrows raised and a silly expectant look on her face. “Hmm, what do I love most about Theo?” I say. “Well first things first he is so sexy. His nipples are to die for.” They start laughing at me and I shake my head. “What do I love most about her? Hmm… there are so many things.”

“Aww,” Shai says.

“I guess that she is so grounded and she doesn’t let what other people say or do change the way she feels. I love how confident and happy and sure she is. She wakes up every day excited just to live and you don’t see that often.”

She bites her lip. “Um, I like that Theo always knows how to make people laugh, because I don’t think he realizes it, but he lifts people’s spirits. And he is also really humble. He’s one of the best actors I’ve ever worked with, but he’ll deny it if I say it.”

I gaze at her as she looks at the interviewer and then I look at the floor, a smile plastered on my face. We finish the interview and then head to do our first Insurgent premiere in LA. Shailene looked beautiful in her dress, even with her cute little five and a half month bump jutting out between her hips. The crowds were so insane, and the reaction for the upcoming movie was incredible. I found that I wasn’t as nervous this time around, because there really is no point. I have Shailene by my side, my little family on the way, and this is where I belong. All of the premieres were overwhelmingly successful, and I’m pleased that so many people love something that we worked so hard on.
