When We Realize (A Sheo Fanfic)

Chapter Three

*Shailene’s POV*

I hate that I had to leave the dinner early, because everyone was buzzing with positive and happy energy. That is just the type of liveliness that I enjoy being around, but my stomach started to hurt after awhile. It just feels tight and queasy, and I didn’t want to push it by eating. I also didn’t want anyone to worry about me while they were trying to have a good time, so I decided to leave. I’m probably just menstruating soon, my moon cycle is due in a little over a week, and this usually happens.

When I got home I instantly made myself some herbal tea with red raspberry leaves, peppermint, and ginger, because those all help with cramps and stomach aches. I decided that what my body needed was rest, so I took off my shoes and laid in bed, sipping my tea and reading a book. My mind naturally wondered to Theo. I know that he wanted to come back with me, but it wasn’t plausible in front of everyone. I’m fine, I think that I can handle a little stomach ache by myself.

I heard my door open about an hour later, and Theo came into my room. He dropped a few things on the end of my bed before walking over and sitting beside me. His hand brushed some hair out of my eyes.

“How are you feeling,” He asked, his accent quiet and deep.

“I’m fine,” I tell him, even though my stomach is clenching.

He narrows his eyes. “You wouldn’t have left unless your stomach really hurt. Have you been throwing up?”

I shook my head. “I think I’m supposed to get my period soon.”

“Oh... Okay. Is there anything I can do to help it?”

“No. I made some herbal tea, and I’m already feeling better. I just need to relax.”

He smiled and stood up. “Relax it is! I brought movies.”

“Oooh. Movies?” He grinned goofily in response and held them up. “Read me the options.”

“Well, they’re all porn…”

“Even better.”

“Would you like me to read the back of them?”

“Don’t I always?”

He smiles hugely at me, wiggling his eyebrows. He picks up a random movie and stares at the back. “An Australian schoolgirl gets caught up i-"

“Schoolgirl? Too cliché. Next!”

He looks at another one, trying not to laugh. “A young bakery boy gets himself sexually involved in a steamy affair with the cougar next-door.”

“Ehh, not into the whole cougar thing.”

“How about this one? British actor meets young, organic livin sex god after getting cast in a movie, and the rest is history.”

I pretended to scratch at a fake beard. “Hmm… I may be interested. Keep reading.”

“Says here that they had crazy intense sexual frustrations for over a year, always making out for the movie, and then denying it after…”

I gasp. “Why would they do that?”

“I don’t know… But they eventually hook up and have a maddening sex life.”

I started laughing and threw a pillow at him. His positive energy is what I need right now. I love having someone around who can make me laugh. He’s been one of my best friends for almost two years now and he has always been there for me, and now I am so lucky to love him.

“Okay, okay. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two…”

“Haven’t even seen part one yet. Next.”
