*Shailene’s POV*

I woke up early in the morning and found myself sprinting to Theo’s bathroom. I guess now I know that this is morning sickness, and not a stomach bug. Theo comes in soon after, kneeling down and putting his hand on my back.

“Theo this is disgusting. Leave.”

“I’m the one who got you pregnant, I think I should stay. I’ve seen throw up before.”

I groan, not at him, but the uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. I wait to see if I am done, and when nothing else happens, I flush the toilet and stand up. I rinse my mouth with mouth wash and then wash my face. I wrap my hands around my stomach and lean against him, my face hiding in his neck. He holds me to his chest.

“Should we go back to your apartment and get some ginger?”

“Um, why?”

“You said a couple weeks ago that ginger helps with stomach aches and morning sickness.”

I laugh and remove my hands from my stomach, wrapping them around his neck. “You are so sweet, do you know that?”

He laughs. “Just trying to help.”

“That sounds nice, and I will do that, but I kind of want to shower first. Will you take one with me?”

“Sure,”

We take a long shower that consists mostly of him holding me, my eyes closed as the hot water ran over us. I wanted a shower to wake me up, but it mostly ended up lulling me into a tired state. It did make my stomach feel much better though.

“I wish that we could just keep it our little secret for a while.” I tell him when we are all dressed.

We are meeting with Rob and Neil today to tell them. Surely they know about our relationship now, it’s been everywhere the past two days since the Maxim magazine came out. I’ve been getting texts from people who knew about us, and texts from people who didn’t. Rob called me a few times, but I haven’t answered. It’s going to be hard to sit down and tell him that I am pregnant. He is so invested in this movie; so many people are. I feel horrible that my actions will affect so much more than just me.

“Me too. But it’s imperative that we tell them as soon as possible, that way they can decide what’s best to do from here.”

“Maybe they will say that it can work. There’s always a chance.”

He smiles at me. “Of course there is.”

I grin back at him. “No matter what though, I’m not going to let it get me down. This should be a happy time for us.”

“Amen to that,” He says. As I listen to his thick, sexy accent, I can’t help but hope that our child will look like him.

We decide to walk to the building where we will be meeting them. It’s a beautiful day, so there is no need to be escorted by a car. There is no paparazzi, and we walk hand in hand, but I know that even if there were a paparazzi, I would still walk with his fingers laced through mine. It’s much better that way.

As we near the building I can tell that Theo is getting nervous. He keep looking down at his feet and tapping his thumb against my hand. “Theo, hey.” I say when we are outside the building. “It’s going to be fine. We’re adults; they aren’t going to put us in timeout. They might even negotiate with us. They won’t want to lose the two stars of the movies.”

He sighs. “Okay. I just wish that we could’ve done this slower. You know, told them we are dating and then maybe tell them we are having a baby in three years or something... After everything is done, instead of telling them both at once.”
