I saw Alisa walk towards me in the dark. She looked so tired and exhausted. She had a permanent frown on her face. Her eyes were no longer bright and happy. Her skin was so pale like she was dead. I had never seen her like that before. She looked so different. I couldn't even imagine what Jane had done to her. Alisa was sad.

"Well well well! Kathie! What a wonderful surprise!" Her voice was harsh. Even her voice was changed.

"Alisa? What happened to you?" I wanted to know. I wanted her to tell me everything she'd been through.

"To me?! Nothing. It's you that's going to suffer." That wasn't like Alisa at all. What the hell did Jane do to her?

"Alisa cut the bullshit. What are you talking about?! Please! Untie me! Everything I said was a big mistake. I didn't mean it. Really! Just please!"

"I don't think so. You told Jane to kill me. Don't try to fool me." I wasn't trying to fool her. I was telling her the truth. Yeah I told Jane to kill her but I regretted it.

She started saying a spell. Her eyes were closed. I was trying to untie myself without any results, though. She stopped talking and opened her eyes. I was there looking at her frightened. Nothing had happened to me. When she noticed that her spell caused me no damage, her eyes softened for a minute and then got aggressive once again.

"But how..? You are still alive?" She was shocked. Was she trying to kill me? What the heck Alisa?

She walked out of the room. I was all alone again.

Jane's POV.

Alisa entered the room I was in. Why couldn't she ever be useful? I had to get rid of her but I needed her powers. She was such an easy target. I could see in her eyes that something had gone wrong.

"Jane..I tried to kill Kathie as you told me but the spell you taught me did nothing to her." What? No. Why? Kathie should be dead. That spell was really strong.

"No! You must have done something wrong."

"I am sure I did everything you told me. She is still alive."

"Come with me." Why was she always so worthless? She couldn't do anything right. If she wasn't able to kill Kathie, I was going to do it myself.

Kathie's POV.

I was trying so hard not to think about Harry. I didn't want to believe that Jane might have killed him or hurt him. He was okay, right? He was fine and he was just trying to find me. I tried to convince myself that he was alright. He had to be alright. He was a vampire for god's sake.

I heard footsteps enter the room once again. This time it was Jane. She approached me and grabbed me by my neck. Gently at first but her grip around my neck was tightening second by second.

I couldn't breath properly. Her eyes turned into a darker shade. I was trying to find my breath. After a few moments she pulled her hands back. I took in a deep breath, inhaling as much oxygen as I possibly could.

"How can you possibly be one of us?" She shouted. One of them? What did she mean? A witch? No no no. That can't be happening. I'm just dreaming and when I wake up, I'll be in my warm bed with my fluffy pyjamas.

Jane exited the room but Alisa didn't follow her. Alisa's eyes were back to their normal shade of light blue. Her skin was no longer pale and the frown wasn't there anymore. She came closer to me and I was surprised when she untied me. She led me to another room. I realised it was her room. She was trying to hide me from Jane. She was actually trying to save me.

She sat on a chair and I was about to talk to her but she stopped me raising her hand to silence me. That's when we both heard footsteps. I hid in the closet when Jane walked in the room.

"Why did you leave Kathie alone?" I heard Jane's voice.

"Don't worry. She won't leave." Alisa said quickly.

"Listen to what you have to do. You'll pretend to be okay. Try to find out where Kathie got her powers from." Powers? What powers? This is getting worse.

"Okay." Alisa answered briefly.

Jane walked towards the door but she stopped before opening it. She turned back around looking at the closet. She noticed that the closet door was ajar. She knew I was there.

"I let Harry leave. After all, he can't save Kathie even if he tried. He must be home now." Jane said loud enough. I knew she said that for me to hear. After Jane had left, I walked out the closet with a big smile on my face. Harry was safe. I didn't care if something happened to me as long as I knew he was safe. I didn't want anyone to be in danger because of me.

Alisa took me from there and we went to that door from where Harry and I had gotten in. I went out and waited for Alisa to come but when I turned around I saw that she wasn't following me.

"Why aren't you coming? C'mon! We gotta go."

"I can't come with you." She said with a sad look.

"Why?"

"Because if I come with you, Jane will come looking for me and when she finds me, she'll hurt everyone." Her eyes glossy.

"Be careful." I nodded. I knew she was right. Jane would hurt everyone.

"I will! Go now before Jane finds out you aren't in there." My heart was aching as I watched her walk back in that house. She was in so much trouble. And it was all my fault.

I was walking back to my house as my thoughts were keeping me busy. I was feeling so guilty. Alisa was in danger and I was the one to be blamed for it. I should be going through what Alisa was going through. I should be the one to be in pain. Not Alisa.

After the longest walk I had in my whole life, I was finally home. Before I go in my apartment, I heard voices from inside. I was in no mood for fighting and giving explanations. I knew it was Liam. And I knew he was sure as hell going to yell at me and ask me where I was like he is my father or something.

I took a deep breath and walked in. He was in the room where the bookcase was. When I got in that room, I saw Liam and Niall...
