Chapter 11

I sure didn't expect to see Louis in my room.

"What are you doing here?" I chocked on my words.

"Cold skin, eyes that change colors.." Louis said, quoting lines from my diary.

The irony in his voice was clear.

"What do you think we are?! Monsters?!" I noticed a hint of threaten in his eyes.

"No! You're not monsters! You're vampires!" Even I was dumbfounded by my own words.

He got really upset after he'd heard my words. His face turned into a pale one, almost white. His eyes turned into the darkest shade of black that's ever existed.

He started grabbing the things from my desk and throwing them on the wall.

He came to me and grabbed my neck, almost taking my breath away.

"If I were you, I wouldn't talk to anyone about this! Alisa can't know about this either! You're in much more danger than you'll ever possibly imagine. Maybe you'll have to leave London or even UK." He threatened me.

After I made it to escape from his tight grip, I decided to give him a little taste of my thoughts.

"We're not going anywhere! I want to know even the tiniest detail of the truth! Why are we so dangerous for you? Why are our boyfriends so dangerous for you?" I was acting so cool. I was actually surprised with myself.

He didn't have an answer to that.

He turned around. His back facing me.

Silence fell in the room 'till he spoke again.

"Stay away from us! Don't get involved in this cursed story or you'll be in so much trouble!" He raised his voice.

The next thing I knew was that he was gone as I heard the door close.

In the meanwhile, Alisa with Kendall and James was in the forest, going to the river.

There was another fort, a bigger and a more welcoming one.

Kendall held Alisa's hand really tight before the three of them entered the fort.

Inside they found Carlos who was sitting there with a confused look on his face when he saw Alisa.

Carlos looked angrily at Kendall.

James and Kendall sat next to Carlos as Alisa took a seat opposite from them.

"Why is she here?" Carlos snapped at Kendall.

"She saw Logan! We can't pretend that she's crazy like we did with Kathie!"

"She has to know the truth! Otherwise, we won't be able to protect both of them."

"Well, are you gonna tell me what's going on?" Alisa lost her patience.

Kendall decided to tell her their whole story..

"It was a lovely summer in America. We were only 10 years old. James and I are step siblings and that's why we were staying together at that period of time. So, one day we decided to go for a walk at the local park. That's where we met Carlos and Logan. We got on really well with each other and we became great friends. We started playing football till it was past midnight. Nobody was there apart from the four of us. Then, a woman approached us. Her name was Christine. She had blonde hair and green eyes. I don't know how but within seconds we were in a house. I felt blood coming out from every part of my body. I was in so much pain. I couldn't feel my legs nor my arms. I couldn't even understand what was going on around me. I was turned into a wolf. After a couple of hours the intense pain returned. I fell down and started screaming. I was human again. My body was aching while I was watching James turning into a wolf. It was a horrible sight. Five days had passed and fortunately we were both better. Christine came to see us. She explained to us that we we were werewolves. She said that we belonged to an ancient tribe that protected people. That tribe was on the verge of extinction because of the lack of new werewolves so, she decided to turn us into werewolves. She informed us that in a few months, after our situation stabilized, we were gonna change only if we were cold. Then, if we felt ready as wolves, we'd remain forever like that. We'd be wolves forever. Of course, we were gonna leave our hometown. James and I headed back home and started packing our things. At that time, I felt that pain again. I was gonna open the door and leave because I didn't want my parents to see me like that. My dad stopped me, though. I couldn't control it. I changed in front of them. My mum was crying and my dad was shouting 'You're a monster'. James was there too. He tried to calm them down but my dad kicked us out of the house. Christine was waiting for us outside in the car where Carlos and Logan were, too. Since then, we've been living here with three more werewolves. Christine taught us how to find a balance between our two selves. Then, we'd be ready to behave like humans and go to school."
