Kathie's POV.
I was finding it hard to breath. I knew I had to pretend that Harry wasn't with me. He was going to be in so much trouble if the others found out that he was in our side. None of them believed me and I didn't care as long as I had people that cared about me. There were times that I was feeling lucky to be living this life but some others I was feeling cursed. That was one of those times that I hated my life so much.
The werewolves were going to look for Jane in order to kill her but they needed me although they would never admit it. I insisted on going with them. I had a feeling that we would find Jane at that place where I had met her a few days ago when everything had started. Where her plan about Alisa's double took place.
I knew she was going to be there. We had to go there.
"Kathie, are you sure you want to come?" James asked me as he saw me picking my bag up.
"I am. We want the exact same thing. So, why argue? I told you I want to come and I will." I was getting pretty defensive but I knew where this was going. They would try to change my mind but I had already made my decision.
"Okay, smart ass. He was just making sure." Carlos said coming in the room.
"Yeah. He was just making sure." I mumbled. I wasn't going to keep this going.
"Ready to go?" Kendall asked us putting his jacket on.
"Ready." Said Carlos doing the same.
We were walking for quite a few minutes when we bumped into someone. This was something I wanted to be avoiding for the rest of my life. The vampires, including Harry, and 'Alisa' were standing in front of us. It was now or never. Harry and I had to make them believe that we hated each other because of what had happened with Alisa.
"Well, well. Look who's here?" Zayn said. His eyes were terrifying.
"Cut it. We're not going to fight with you." James warned. He was getting pretty protective of everyone and right now he was getting protective of me.
"We aren't going to fight either. Maybe if you hadn't Kathie with you, things would be easier between us. But you believed the bullshit she was talking about." Harry said looking at me.
"Excuse me?" I was offended. I didn't know Harry could pretend so good. "If you were a little nicer, then maybe somebody in this world would be able to tolerate you. Not everyone is cold-hearted like you, you know." I fired back.
"Don't judge me. You're no better. You are much worse. You're accusing your sister of everything you do. Don't you dare criticize me." He said with a lower voice. He was being so scary. If I didn't know that he was pretending, I would be really angry with him. He couldn't just be saying these things to me.
"I won't keep wasting my time on you, anyway. You're nothing to me." I said shrugging him off. I was still feeling awful about how he had talked to me.
"I can see now why no one wants you." He whispered but it was loud enough for me to hear. I looked at him. Although I knew he didn’t mean it, I felt like crying. He noticed my expression, too. He winked at me to show me that nothing of what was happening was true. I smiled slightly enough for him to understand that I was fine.
"We don't have to spend our time here. Let them go, Harry." Niall said. Harry looked at him and then back at me. I nodded my head lightly. They turned the other way and walked off. Hopefully, the others thought that nothing is going between me and Harry.
We decided to go back to the hotel because it would be pointless if we searched that place I was talking about. The vampires were going to be there, too and we sure didn't want to be met with them again.
When the night fell, I heard a knock on the door of my hotel room. I couldn't open the door because I was in the bathroom taking a shower. I thought whoever it was, they could come back later if it was so important. I stayed in there for a couple of hours. I wanted to relax. I wanted to forget what had happened that day. When I started freezing from the cold water, I wrapped a towel around me and got out of the bathroom.
I nearly had a heart attack when I saw Harry sitting on the bed. He could at least tell me he was there so I could have gotten dressed. When he saw my red face, he smirked. He got up and started walking closer to me.
"Sorry for coming in. I didn't want to interrupt your shower, you seemed really relaxed." He said grinning.
"Y-you saw me?!" Oh my God. I could feel my whole face burning up. What would I do if he had seen me?
"Maybe. Okay, don't look at me like that. I admit I didn't see you. You are so red." He laughed. I was looking at him like he grew four heads.
"You are so crazy. Why are you here in the first place?" I said trying to hide my smile.
"I came to apologize for earlier. I saw that it got to you, so yeah, I'm sorry. I might have been a bit harsher than I intended to."
"No. It's okay. It's just that you said what everyone else thinks and it was too much to hear it all at once."
"I'm sorry for this. So, there's one more reason that I came here. Carlos called me. We are going to that place that you had seen Jane at. So, get ready. I'll be waiting for you outside." He said walking out of the room.
I got dressed and threw a flashlight in my bag. I threw my bag over my shoulder and got out of the room. Harry was there as he had said.
James, Kendall and Carlos were waiting for us right in front of the hotel. We walked to that place. When we were really close, I saw Jane sitting on a rock waiting for someone. James and Kendall were about to attack her but I stopped them. That's when I saw 'Alisa' walking towards Jane. That's who she was waiting for. I was proved right. Jane started talking to her. I heard Jane say that they had to kill Niall first and then blame it on one of the werewolves. Their plan couldn't be any crueler.
'Alisa' left saying that she had to leave before the vampires understood that she was gone.
I was about to walk off to Jane to give her a little taste of my mind when I saw Alisa, the real Alisa, my step sister, being dragged by two muscular men. They were taking her to Jane.
"Alisa?!" I squealed. Everyone turned around and looked at me. Alisa heard me, too. She looked at me. Her eyes widened when she saw me. Jane and the two men didn't hear a thing. At least, Alisa knew that I was there for her...
