Chapter 48

Louis' POV.

Niall was acting like a freak asking questions but failing to get answers. 

"Where is Alisa? What have you done to her?" He was screaming uncontrollably. I tried to stop him but he wouldn't hear me.

"Niall, stop." I yelled in hope to cover his screams with my voice so he could listen to me.

"No. I want to know where the hell she is. Who the fuck are you?" He screamed at 'Alisa'. She was just looking at him emotionlessly. Niall was being pathetic. 

'Alisa' just laughed and disappeared out of the blue, leaving ashes behind her. She disappeared in front of us, it was like she was on fire for a second and then the other she was gone.

"What the hell was that?" I was freaking out.

"She's gone. She was the only chance we had to find Alisa. My Alisa. I lost her." It was the very first moment in centuries that I was seeing Niall crying. He was a wreck. I did my best to calm him down but it didn't go well.

He kept crying but he started breaking and ruining everything he would find. He was yelling louder than before. All he was feeling was utter pain. I could feel him. I had lost in this game called love when I was still human but then I changed and I did my best to forget the one and only love of my life.

"Why did she do this to me? I didn't want to love her. I didn't. But I love her, Lou. I love her with all the fucked up pieces of my heart that have remained. I need her. I lost her, Lou. I lost her." He was calmer now. Maybe all he needed was to convert his feelings into words. Niall had always been a strong person both as a human and as a vampire.

"You didn't lose her, Niall. We will find her. I swear to my damn life that I will find her, for you." I was going to keep this promise no matter how hard it was to do something impossible.

"I felt like I was ready to die for her. And it was the first time I felt like that. But this feeling has broken me. It started from the heart and now it's hurting me physically. I cannot bear it, Lou." 

"I need you to tell me that you will be okay. Wherever Alisa is right now, I'm sure she is thinking of you and smiling because she is thinking of your smile and your kind attitude. It's not like you to break things, Niall. Alisa would want you to be happy." I couldn't stand seeing him broken. As he had said, it had started from the heart and ended up hurting him physically. That's how love works. It destroys you from the inside out. 

"I won't be okay till I find her. I swear I will kill whoever tries to hurt her or take her away from me. I mean it. I don't care if it's someone that I call family, I will not care at all when I will be slicing their skin with my teeth." His eyes turned to red. They were only like this when he was really thirsty or in severe pain. I knew that it was pain this time.

He asked me to leave him alone so I did. I went in my room. After a while, I went to check on him and he had fallen asleep. At least, he was relaxed now. 

The next day, when I woke up, I heard voices so I put on some clothes and went to see what it was all about.

Zayn and Liam were standing out of Niall's room. I approached them. 

"What happened last night?" 

"We heard Niall scream and things being thrown on the walls. But we didn't dare figure it out." 

"Niall had a breakdown. 'Alisa' disappeared and Kathie was true. Alisa was the real one. All this time, we were victims in Jane's plan. Now that everything is damaged, including Niall's heart, you may want to believe me." I explained as emotionless as I could. 

"I believe you. But if Alisa was not Alisa, then where is Alisa? I mean the real one." Liam asked.

"That's the point, Liam, we don't know. And if we hadn't been so blind and deaf in this house, we would have found her and everyone would be happy." I couldn't stay calm any longer. Now it was my time to freak out and act as pathetically as I wanted to.

"You do not need to take it out on us, though. What happened, happened. Nothing can change now. All we can do is try to find Alisa." Zayn said without giving a fuck. 

"And apologise to Kathie." Liam added.

"Why? We do not owe her any apology." Zayn said again cold-heartedly.

"We do not?! Of course we do, Zayn. She tried to warn us and protect us although we tried to hurt her. But when she did warn us, we did nothing but push her away. We made her choose. We've broken her." Liam said with so much confidence and trust in his words.

"We did not break her, Liam. You're so naive. You know nothing. She's broken because of you. She fell for you. She feels like a fallen angel. She believes that she failed in winning your love. She is just a fallen girl and nothing more. She doesn't deserve our apologies. She is wrapped around your finger, Liam and you don't even know." Zayn screamed at Liam's face.

Liam's POV.

Kathie was fallen. She had fallen for me. But I had fallen for her, too. Zayn knew nothing about me, yet again he was talking about Kathie and me like he knew everything going on between us. 

"Shut your mouth. You do nothing but always hurt others' feelings. Never talk about Kathie like that. You know nothing about her." I yelled back. He had no right to insult me. He knew how I felt about Kathie but he chose not to show some respect.

"You can make her do whatever you want her to do. She is human, Liam. She is nothing. You are a vampire. You are immortal. It's not meant to be for you two." 

"This is something that Kathie and I will decide on what to do about. So, I want you to shut your little mouth and forget what you just said." I warned him a bit too harsh. I just got a glare from him before he had left to his room.

Kathie's POV. 

I woke up to my phone ringing. I picked it up and saw that I had a new message from Louis. It said that 'Alisa' was finally gone. Maybe it was all part of Jane's plan, maybe it wasn't. 

We were going to meet at the forest where Jane was probably going to be waiting for 'Alisa' to turn up. She would find out that something was wrong so it would be good for us to be there. 

The hours passed till the night fell. We had to be there as late as we could so no one would realise our presence, especially Jane. 

When we got there, we made sure to hide as Jane was there, too, waiting for 'Alisa'. I would be so pleased to see her face after she had found out that her plan was a total failure. She had been waiting for twenty minutes when she realised that something was wrong. She got closer to some men that were with her. She whispered something to them that we couldn't hear. 

Zayn and Liam were holding Niall to stop him from attacking Jane but they were not doing a good job. Niall escaped form them and lunged at her. He grabbed her neck trying to kill her but he couldn't do it. Jane was stronger than that and we all were aware of it...

A/N: HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! This story is going to be a trilogy which means that the first book (this one hehe) is coming to an end and I will be starting the second one.
