Kendall's POV.
I was with Niall, this fucking vampire who stole my Alisa. She loved him now. I knew she wasn't in love with me anymore but we had been through so much together to get her out of my life just like that.
I tried not to start a fight with him for Alisa's sake. We had to find her and that was why we were there, to find Alisa, not to fight with each other. We were walking in the pyramid for a few minutes till we went to the last floor of the pyramid and found a spacious room with a sarcophagus in the middle of it. I walked closer as Niall was standing behind me and wouldn't budge. I knew he was a coward.
Whilst I was watching the sarcophagus carefully, I saw that there was something written on the top of it. It was the story of the curse. It said what we already knew. So, I didn't pay much attention. There wasn't anything else that could help us with Alisa's case.
We turned back from where we had come without wasting any more time. When we reached the place where we agreed to meet after getting out of the pyramids, I noticed that everyone was there apart from Kathie. I hope she didn't get in any trouble again. You see, Kathie is a very nice girl but she can be so stubborn from time to time. I don't blame her. She had a pretty tough childhood. You know, I can read her like an open book. One of my powers as a werewolf.
Kathie's POV.
I kept walking on my own since I had no one as Liam had told me. It was true, though. I had nothing left. I had no one and I mean who would want to be around someone like me? I had to admit that I was a huge nothing, a loser, a failure. I knew I was falling hard for Liam and that kiss meant so much to me. I didn't want to fall in love again and I was trying too hard to avoid this feeling, called love, but the point is that I was already fallen from the beginning. I just had to realize it.
I lost track of time as I was wandering in the dark. I heard voices whilst I was trying to find the exit because I knew I was late to be seen to the place where we had made the deal to meet.
There was a door in front of me. I could barely see but the voices were so clear. I walked closer to that door and opened it lightly. It was a big room. The walls were pitch black and there was a throne in the middle of the room with a statue of the Pharaoh sitting on it. Around the throne, there were a lot of people and it was like they were in the middle of a meeting or something. They were talking with each other and as the seconds were passing, I realised that they weren't humans. They were demons in human bodies. They were using human bodies as a disguise.
I heard them say Alisa's name multiple times and then I saw Jane in the crowd of demons. I started walking backwards till my back came into contact with something and it wasn't the wall. I turned around and I was face to face with James. I saw Harry behind him, too.
"What are you two doing here?" I asked clearly surprised. They were supposed to be outside.
"You were supposed to be out half an hour ago." James said grabbing my shoulders. He was worried. I still loved him despite what he had done. I knew he still loved me, too. But I was so stupid for letting him go.
"Liam told us what happened." The blood in my veins froze when I heard Harry speak those words. Liam. That bastard, I was hopelessly in love with, told them about our kiss? How could he?
"He told you? What did he exactly say?" If he had said anything, I would kill him even though he was a vampire. My blood was boiling. I was about to explode.
"He told us about your fight and that you left on your own and that he didn't see you after that." Harry explained. He was close to find out. Harry would always know when something was wrong with me. Even though we barely knew each other, we were so close to each other.
"That's what he said?" I felt relieved.
"Yes. Now let's get out of here before anything else happens." Said James. The three of us walked out of the pyramid after finding the exit.
We reached the place where everyone else was waiting. I was feeling bad for making them wait for me.
"What happened to you, Kathie? Why haven't you been here on time?" Kendall asked me.
"Nothing happened. I just think I made a huge mistake by trusting a feeling that I had...according to which way to take and I got lost." I explained. That was the half truth. Yes I made the huge mistake to trust the feelings that I had for Liam. I could have never been more wrong. And the huge mistake I made is that I let something like that kiss happen between me and Liam. That's what I feel guilty of.
I looked over at Liam. I could tell by the way he was looking at me that he had regretted the kiss, the heated moment we had together, everything. He regretted everything. But that was okay. It was just a moment of weakness for the both of us.
"So, you didn't find anything about Alisa?" Niall asked pulling me out of my inner monologue.
"No. Nothing important." I shook my head to emphasize my words.
"Are you sure?" Peter asked me. I don't know if he could read my mind and see that I was lying again but I didn't care either.
"Absolutely. I'm sorry but I'm not feeling well. I will head back home but you keep looking for any kind of clues." I said hoping for them to just let me go without asking me so many questions as they always did.
"Okay. You can go but not alone. One of us will come with you and because the werewolves are less than the vampires and much needed, a vampire will bcome your company for a while." Zayn said.
"Thanks but I think I know how to take care of myself." I defended.
"Let's not talk about it. It's obvious that you don't. That's why I'm coming with you" Liam fired back.
"Do whatever you want. I don't care." I said shrugging him off. I gave up fighting with him when he said those terrible things to me in the pyramid.
"If you need anything, Liam, you know how to contact us." Peter told Liam.
"There's only one place we have to go to for today. The Pharaoh's Temple." Peter said to the others.
"Be careful. Now that you are going to be only the two of you. Alone." Louis said looking at me. Louis was like my best friend out of the group. We weren't that close but he knew what was going on in my mind.
"Be careful, too." I nodded.
The way back home was suffocating. I felt like I wasn't breathing. Liam might have noticed because he rolled down the car windows. We weren't talking. It was dead silent and I have to admit that I would rather fight with him than stay in silence while in the same place with him.
After a long and full of tension way home, we were finally there. When we both got in the house, I felt like talking to him about what had happened. I couldn't just forget it. It wasn't something I would take like it meant nothing to me because at that moment it meant the world to me.
I wanted to let him know how I really felt about him. I tried to hide my feelings even from my own self, though. Then, I heard his piercing voice that made me shudder...
