A/N: I'm so glad for those who found the Heather's quote in the last chapter and the support you gave me in the last Author Note/Update. It really means a lot to me, so much. But despite from all of that, I decided instead of writing the Bonquisha episode.. I am just going to write a aftermath of it. A little David and Y/n moment ( NO ROMANCE!) and it's pretty much a musical type of chapter. The song I will be using is A Song About Being Sad- By: Rex Orange County. I will say I changed some of the lyrics just so it could fit a little bit better with this chapter, nothing huge but anyways I hope you enjoy! <3

Y/n sat by David in a pit of silence, both human-beings watching the waves of the lake washing over each other. Y/n didn't dare to look or speak at the counselor for she didn't want to trigger another of his "emotional breakdowns". So she began to let her eyes wander away from the lake and up at the starry night sky. She was so consumed by it, she failed to noticed the guitar that was once beside David- was now on his knee ready to strum a tune.

"Always felt like I needed to please her, or impress her
Though only in the hope that one day I would undress her.."

He's singing.. Y/n thought. She looked beside her and watched him sing as his long fingers finess the strings with such passion.

"Don't be offended.
You think I'm 'bout to tell you that 'I love you'
But I really,really,really fucking don't.."

David closed his eyes as his lip began to quiver. Tears began to drip, making his eyelashes glisten underneath the moonlight.

"See the months of obsession,
and crying for hours,
I even started sitting down in the shower,girl...

I'll take my time on my own...

And I'll be fine now I'm alone..."

Y/n lips weighed down into a frown. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to do. She felt helpless at the moment. So she continued to listen.

"Constantly told stories with a stretch of the truth...
Trying hard to make memories to remember from youth...
Desperately wanting you to be interested too..."

"I'm so sorry,David.." Y/n said, softly. She placed a hand on his shoulder and slowly removing it after a few moments. David didn't say anything. He didn't want too. Who could blame him? Y/n's eyebrows furrowed as if the same pain of being helpless hit her once more, aching her chest. It was few moment when all you could hear was the melody from the strings just being played. Y/n lowered her eyelids, looking off to a distance as she hugged her knees to her chest. She said:

"It's not clear what you need yet, but it's clear it's not her...
Here's what I'd say to any young man that's still interested in her;
Do you prioritise the things in your life?
The things that you hope to do?
Cause if not then,
Mate you'd better trust me when I tell you that it's not worth forgetting about yourself...
because of one fucking girl.."

David looked down and weakly smiled.

"She may seem perfect, and gorgeous, and lovely...
You'll think she likes you...
I mean I thought she loved me, no..."

Suddenly he abruptly stopped playing. The bad note echoed through the breeze, making Y/n jump. David placed his guitar down and covered his face with his shaking hands. No matter how tight his fingers were closed together, tears seemed to find it's way through the cracks. Y/n leaned over to his sad figure and rested her arms around his shoulders and rested her chin on top of his head. And by to her surprise, even though he was heartbroken and sobbing all his remaining pain.. he still sung his last verses of his song..

"But no,
Neither of us will get down from the shelf...
The only one she loves is herself..."
