The lights went on in the room. There were incomprehensible sounds like an encrypted message. I fell down on my knees and remembered everything!
"What do you feel about a quest?" he asked.
"It's where you have to solve the riddles?" Veronica clarified. "Only if it's not scary! I don't mind in this case."
"Oh, this quest is special," he laughed intriguingly, "it's the place where we will understand ourselves better and broaden our minds."
"I don't know," Mike shook his head, "these quests are quite expensive, and I'm broke."
"Don't worry, Mike," he reassured him, "I have eight free tickets: a friend works in that sphere. So what? You'll love it!"
"What's this quest about?" Kate asked. "I'm not a big fan of that kind of things, but tell me about the plot."
"Oh," he laughed, "if I tell you, I'll spoil everything! I can only tell you that the quest is called 'The wheel'."
"The wheel of fortune?" I asked. "Is it the TV program on NBC?"
"No, it's called simply 'The wheel'. So, shall we go? Usually the tickets cost about 150 bucks."
"How much?" Kate asked in shock. "It's crazy! It's a unique opportunity! Guys, we have to go! It's free."
"Are you sure it's not scary?" Veronica asked again.
"I'm sure, sweetie," he replied and kissed her.
"Well, in this case, I'm coming, too," David said joyfully. "I think Beth won't mind."
It was you, Sam! Why did you do it? How did you set it up? Crap! I suspected you!
"Bastard!" Chris shouted and started shooting at the truly guilty party.
Every his shot was accompanied by the corresponding sound and the screen cracking.
"Oh, oh, it hurts so much," the liar pretended like he was really shot. "Oh, these screens can not only show beautiful videos, they can also do this." He started snapping his fingers.
Random screens started cracking all over the room. Chris pointed the gun at the floor and pulled the trigger: there was a crack exactly where he was aiming."
"There is a built-in laser in the gun that activates the glass breaking mechanism in the part of the screen where the ray is pointed," Sam gloated. "This laser, as you understood, can easily go through a human body."
"You pieces of crap!" Veronica yelled, stroking her forehead to make sure she was still alive. "You and you," she pointed her finger at Chris and then at Sam, "you are the biggest...the shittiest...the most disgusting....assholes! You," she turned to Sam again," do you even know what I feel right now, you bastard?!"
The exhausted girl started coughing.
"Hey, are you okay?" asks the sadist affectionately, having taken off the 'mask' finally. "After hypnosis for mild amnesia, you might feel..."
"Get the hell away from me, bastard!" she pushed him. "Why? Why did you do it?!"
"It's hard to explain," he answered.
"You!" Mike yelled, coming closer to Sam, ready to kill him.
A glass wall lowered down just in front of Mike that prevented him from hitting Sam.
"This piece of glass already loves you," this jerk laughed viciously.
And all of this is just for fun?
