James' PoV

"I wanna pull a prank," James began "Wanna help?" He said to Sirius grinning mischeviously.
"Yep, We should make you float into the common room after dinner and then you can ask that redhead out" He replied back.
"Her name is Lily" He said softly
"Yeah, ok, let's get on with it, get out of Lily-Land" James snapped back to reality.
"Ok, let's plan in" James started planning with Sirius' help. They were whispering and scribbling down ideas on a piece of parchment, when an idea struck. They agreed on going up to the girls dorms and talking to Alice and Marlene to see if they could help them in anyway.
After carefully debating the pro's and cons, with their friends Remus and Peter. They headed up the stairs and once they reached the second step the stairs changed to a slide causing everyone in the Common Room to laugh. Sirius and James were both still laid on the floor when a giggling Lily, Marlene and Alice to discover them. A deep crimson blush took refuge on their cheeks. James and Sirius both tried to pay it off but there was no hiding their embarrassment.
| DAY OF THE PRANK | Third Person

Remus and Peter were still trying to convince James not to do it but were still in on it. Peter dashed up the stairs and told James and Sirius that Lily was in the Common room.
"You ready?" Sirius asked.
"Course, I'm a Potter" James retorted.
Sirius started levitating James as James posed, enjoying the attention he received. The common room gasped and lots of the girls started whispering. With James' dark messy curly hair and hazel eyes many girls liked him. Whenever he talked to some of the girls they would blush and giggle, but he didn't pay any attention to him. He liked Lily, only Lily.
"Oi! Lily, will you go out with me??" James yelled
Lily blushed a deep crimson, her face blending in with her hair, tears welled in her emerald green eyes and she ran to her dorm before the tears could spill. Sirius stopped concentrating on James and faced the girls dorm, James fell to the floor with a thump and attention turned to him once more. He was bright red but tried to play it off. A few seventh years came over to him and talked to him about girls in a corner of the room After about twenty minutes he returned to his mates and tried to start a new plan
"No, no, no James just leave her alone for a few days" Remus pleaded. James reluctantly agreed with Remus after talking to Marlene. She had convinced him that Lily was shy and didn't like James. She also mentioned that Lily thought James did it to embarrass her He sloped back to his dorm and fell into a restless sleep, his dreams filled with Lily and her perfection. However Lily fell into a restless sleep, but nightmares taunted her night
