James

Oh my god oh my god oh my god.

I'm so nervous. My hands were sweating, I rubbed them on my black jeans to dry them off. I had my black ripped jeans on the Sirius had got me, they were tight, but hung low at the crotch. My top was white with black stripes the letters kwd were stitched on to the right side of my chest. That was also from Sirius, he had pretty good taste. I had on my white air forces.

I checked the time, oh my god it was 7; 01

What if she's not coming?

It's only been a minute

What if it was all a joke?

Lily's not like that

What if someone had polyjuiced them self into lily?

Now you're being ridiculous..

I looked up the girls stairs and there was Lily, in all of her grace and beauty looking for me. I lifted up my hand and stood up from the red love seat.

Omg James that was stupid, what's Lily gunna think??

My embarrassment was short lived however as Lily walked over to me and said hi.

"Should we get going?"

"Sure"

I opened up the portrait and we walked alongside each other, chatting about meaningless things. Such as homework, classes and teachers. We arrived at the libary. I hadn't been here since god knows when.

Second year maybe?

"I've not been here since second year" I say while supressing a shiver. Lily laughed and my heart sped up, her laugh was perfect. It was a sirens call

"Erm, where do you want to sit? I don't know where anything is?" I say with, most likely, an awkward look on my face. I put my hands in my pockets and lean forward onto the balls of my feet

"Okay, follow me" She says with a ghost of a smile. I think she's warming up to me. Too bad we leave for the 6 week holidays in a week's time

I follow behind lily, ducking my head away from the swinging lanterns. How does Remus does this I'll never know

After being in my own world for a while, I remove  hands from my pockets and help Lily get a book from the top shelf, I laugh at her and pat her on the head.

"Everything ok down there, shortie?" I manage through deep, throaty laughs. She pouts at me and crosses her arms over her chest.

"Stopppp" She whines, "I'm not that short! You're just a 6 foot tall giant"

"6 foot 1 giant actually" I correct

She smiles and continues down the twist and turns. She reaches a table and sits down. She beckons for me to join her, it's lamp lit and romantic and secluded and perfect because she's there.

I sit down and get out my quill, ink pot and parchment. I start writing and look at lily. She sits there and stats writing hers. My essay was nearly finished I mainly just needed her to look over it. I wrote my conclusion on how I'm in store for a big surprise, but I'll have to wait 2 months for it. I added a full stop and looked at Lily again.

I started staring at her with admiration in my eyes. I realised why I liked her. She was beyond perfect. The way her green eyes sparkled, the way her auburn hair fell, ho she only just slightly opens her mouth when she's studying. She looked up at me and blushed. I was sat next to her.

"Lily" I almost breathed out. She looked up at me. Her eyes fluttered shut and she leaned forward. I put my hand on her cheek, it trailed back to the back of her head and rested there. One of her hands layed on my chest thile the other played with my hair.

I always knew that she secretly liked my hair.

We pulled apart, our breath going at the same pattern

"James, I think I like you. But I'm not sure if i'm ready? I don't know, I don't know if I can be with you, yet. And we're only here for another week..." She trailed off

"It's a shame", I say not quite meeting her eyes. "Maybe next year" I look down at my airforces and start trailing my finger across my wrist.

It was a habit I'd had since I was little. I always used to wear my baby bracelet charms. Baby bracelet charms are little crystals which contain parents magical auras. Usually their for little kids, like 1 - 5 year olds, but they grow to fit a wrist so you can wear them for as long as the child wants. I still do, sometimes, when I get really lonely or my parents  are away on a missions and I miss them.

"We should probably go" I say while gathering up my things. I walk quickly and try to disguise the tears that threatened to fall.

No james! You've cried over her too many times!

We reach the portrait just before curfew. I still hold the door.

"Good night Lily" I offer her a smile and head up the boys steps

"Good night James" She returns with a smile

God if she knew the effect she had on me
