Lily's PoV
I blearily blinked my eyes open and yawned. I rolled on to my back and rubbed my eyes, I slowly sat up and looked around the room. It really was beautiful.
The potter house was lovely, everything was so elegant and fancy and expensive - looking but the house was very cosy.
Mrs Potter was so kind as well and so welcoming. She didn't judge my for being a muggle born or anything like that. I didn't expect her to, I mean James is so against prejudice. A got out of bed and went to the bathroom.
I brushed my hair, washed my face and brushed my teeth. I then crawled back into bed and started reading my book. I heard a light knock at my door and a soft voice saying Lily.
I said come in and they opened the door. It was James, he was smiling and holding a tray of breakfast foods.
"Erm, I wasn't sure what you liked so I brought loads" He says awkwardly.
The tray was loaded, it had: Toast, cornflakes, hash browns, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages.
I opened my eyes and marvelled at the food
"You don't have to eat it all, it's just so you had options" He says hurriedly
"Thank you!" I say as I get out of the bed and collect the tray
"It's okay" James replies as he rubs the back of his neck.
"Is Marlene up?" I ask
"I don't think so, Sirius stayed in her room last night, and knowing him I don't want to walk in on anything"
I laugh, place the tray on my bed. "You can sit in here for a bit if you want" I say
"Thanks, my mum is taking you and Marlene out shopping today so you can get dresses for tonight"
"Tonight?" I question
"Yeah, we're holding a ball, lots of ministry officials will be there. Oh and my mum will pay"
I grab a hash brown and smile and thank him. Marlene comes in and raises her eyebrows at me, James looks and me and then leaves closing my door behind him
"Tell me everything" Marlene says as soon as he leaves the room. She starts eating my toast as I tell her
"Well, I was awake early reading my book and I heard someone knocking and saying my name so I got up and answered the door and it was James. He was just at the door and holding this try full of food. He said that he didn't know what I liked so he brought me everything. Then we talked for a bit.
Oh, and we're going shopping later with Mrs. Potter for dresses tonight because there's a ball with lots of ministry officials. We're also getting a facial and our nails done. The boys are going to get new suits today as well."
We carry on talking while eating and then we get ready for our shopping trip
