10. Hogsmeade

James's PoV

I strolled into breakfast with Padfoot lost in my thoughts. I was in a mood so from across the hall I levitated Snivellous' food above his head and dropped it, least pranking made me feel good.

"Nice one mate!" Sirius whispered.

"Two minutes, I'm gunna go ask Zoe Jones from Hufflepuff to Hogsmeade with me tomorrow"

"Wait wh-" Sirius started before I walked over to the Hufflepuff table, grinning at Zoe. I saw her bat her eyelashes at me and smile back. She was really pretty, long, wavy, blonde hair and big blue eyes. 

But she wasn't Lily.

"Hey Zoe, will you go to Hogsmeade with me tomorrow?" I ask, she would probably say yes, thats why I'm asking her.

I wanna make Lily jealous, she probably- no definitely doesn't care what I do. It's mainly just for me.

"Of course James" She squeals and jumps up and hugs me, I hug her back and wink at Padfoot who's in shock.

"I'll meet you here at ten tomorrow, see ya" I release her and strut over to the gryffindor table.

"Guess your not gunna be with us" Sirius says

"I guess not then mate" 

Lily's PoV

My mind was racing going a 100 miles a minute

How could he do that!

Do what?

Ask Zoe Jones to hogsmeade in front of me

Since forever...

But still, it's rude

To ask someone to Hogsmeade, when he's single?

No but ask zoe? He knows I don't like her

And? He doesn't like Ben...

Thats different!

How?

Well- I - erm - well

YOU'RE JEALOUS!! YOUR JEALOUS!!

NO I'M NOT!!

YES YOU ARE!!

FINE!! SHUT UP!!

My highly entertaining inner monologue was interupted by Marlene telling me we needed to go DADA

HOGMEADE  ________________________________________________________________________________

I met Zoe exactly on time, she looked quite nice, black and white short flowy skirt with tights and heeled boots with a white top. 

But she wasn't Lily.

We went to Honeydukes and I bought her some sweets along with my own, after we headed to the three broomsticks.

I saw Lily and Ben.

Jealousy clouded my vision. I breathed in and then out and ignored them.

Zoe and I had a nice time.

Nothing special.

We walked back to Hogwarts, I asked her to be my Girlfriend and then we kissed.

Not Lily.

Lily's Pov

I was panicing!
What should I wear?

After talking to Marlene and Alice, I decided on some high waisted black skinny jeans, a tight khaki green crop top, black heeled boots and a black bomber jacket. My bag was black and the inside was the same colour as my top. 

The boots and top belonged to Marlene.

The bag belonged to Alice.

Thank God for my very fashionable friends!!

I walked down to the great hall, butterflies fluttering in stomach. Ben was stood there, I smiled and walked over to him. WE intertwined our hands and headed down.

First we headed to The Three Broomsticks. He paid for my drink.

What a Gentleman!

We talked for ages and I kept on laughing.

At one point I saw James and Zoe walk in completely absorbed in conversation, he held the door open for her, bought her a drink. 

And they kissed.

I couldn't hear much of their conversation but I heard "Will you be my Girlfriend"

Those 5 simple words crushed me, I don't know why. 

But they made me sad.

Ben and I walked up to Hogwarts, we paused outside the gates.

"Lily, I had a really good day today, could we do it again next time?" He asked, sounding nervous

"Same, and of course we can" I looked into his eyes, bad idea

He leaned forward and so did I. My eyes fluttered shut and we kissed.

It wasn't very nice, but not awful either
