21. Ball time

James' PoV

I fixed Sirius' tie and I turned to face the mirror, we were going to the Ball that the ministry were hosting tonight. It was mainly purebloods who were really high up in the ministry which I think is stupid, we should include more people. 

After the ball tonight Marlene, Remus, and Pete were coming back to mine and then I was going with my dad to pick Lily up from her muggle neighbour hood. 

Sirius' parents were going to be there so that wasn't going to be good for him, it also really pisses me off when people feel the need to say their opinions on how muggleborns are all, well I cant even say that word. 

"Jamsie, Sirius" My mum calls us from downstairs

"Coming!" I yell down, I look over at Padfoot who offers a weak smile, I know he really doesn't want to go but..

We walk downstairs after some last minute adjustments to our hair, My mum grabs my hand and I link my arm with Padfoot's and then we apperate. I'm so excited to learn how to apperate.

We get to the party and everything seemed so formal, classical wizarding music was playing at a low setting. I danced with Sirius for a bit who disappered after talking to one of the girls for a while. I think her name was Gwen, she was blonde and pretty but not as good as my Lily.

Well, she's not My Lily but oh well.

TIME SKIP BCS THE PARTY WAS BORING


Marlene, Sirius and I were outside, me and Sirius were having a smoke while Marlene was stood waiting with us. I waft the smoke out of my face and drop my cigarette to the floor when I see my parents walking outside. They knew I smoked but my mum didn't really like it.

 Peter walks from around a corner with his mum and I'm glad I had put my cigarette out. I nudged Sirius who swiftly put out his cigarette because Pete's mum HATED it. Sirius turned back to Marlene.

I know he has a thing for her, I'm his brother I can just tell these things, he smiles that cheeky smirk that we both have but I think mine is better. Marlene laughs and blushes then puts her head down, her hair covering her red face

I hug Peter and tap his head, I kind of feel bad for him all of us are kind of tall but he's just a bit short. i'm 6'1, Remus is 6'3 and Sirius is 5'11 but he's only 5'8.

Remus appeared with his dad, his mum is a muggle. We all link arms and we apperate at the manor, Marlene goes to wipe her face off, do a treatment, cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturise her face. It sounds like a lot. Honestly I just use water and if I do get a spot which is rarely I put Spotless Skin Potion. 

We go to sleep, Moony and Wormtail are staying in the room next door, while Marlene is across the hall and in the Queenie suite. You go through a door and then you walk in and then there are five doors, pink, baby blue, grey, white and lilac. The rooms are the same colour pallette as the door. Marlene is in the baby blue room and she said Lily's going to be in the lilac room.  

"NIGHT" I call out, a chorus of nights come my way and i turn off the lights, I get to see Lily in the morning
