8. Prefect Carrige

Lilys's PoV

I tried to find my friends by pacing up and down the train. Guess who they were sat with? The Mauraders! Just why?

They know how I feel about James and his stupid, pathetic group.

Just to specify they're all idiots. Well, apart from Remus.

- Peter worships the ground Potter and Black walk on, like a loyal tag-along.

- Remus is quite nice, I actually talk to him.

- Then Potter and Black....... The biggest pranksters in Hogwarts, The heartbreakers of Hogwarts, Biggest Idiots, the list goes on really.

I opened the door, struggling with my trunk. Potter came to the door and grabbed my trunk and held the door open for me. Hmm, a nice deed? Must be a catch.

"I'll get that Lily flower" He smiles, not a smirk a smile. 
"Don't call me Lily flower, but thank you James" I say with what I think is a disapproving look. I probably just look constipated. He put my trunk up on the railing with ease.

He got tall, and his jawline got sharper, his shirt came up and I could see the muscles that lay on his tanned stomach.

"LILLLYYYYY!!!!" Marlene and Alice squeal snapping me out of my trance.

"AAAAAHHHH!" I rush over and hug them we start talking immediately, ignoring the boys that are unfortunately still sat with us. 

"OOOOHHH! Black yells, "Poor Prongsie, opens the door, lifts your trunk and he doesn't get hug"
"PADFOOT!" Potter replies his face the same colour as my hair. He glances at me, emerald eyes catch hazel and I got this weird urge to go and hug him. I looked down after our 'moment' a smile tugging at my lips and his face was pulled into a lop-sided grin. I used to find this annoying but now it's kind of cute

"AAAAWWWW! JAMES AND LILY SITTING IN A TREE" Sirius was stood on the chair at this point arms fling around wildly, "K-I-S-

Sirius was cut off by Remus who quickly intervened, "Sorry to interrupt your singing and - interpretative dancing padfoot but Lily and I have to go to the prefect carriage."

Good thing he reminded me, I would have forgotten! I waved goodbye to my friends and told them where to meet me. 

I grabbed Remus' hand and flashed Potter a sly smile. I bet he's jealous. Ha. Wait Lily, when did you start thinking about Potter? I blushed red and a smirk played across my features. Then it dawned on me. I stopped and stood still, an expression of shock placed on my face.

James hadn't asked me out. Wait Potter not James.

"Lily, are you ok?" Remus asks kindly, there's no malice or cockiness hidden in his eyes.

"Yeah, I was just thinking about Ja- Nothing" I replied way to quickly.

"James, I know he's changed. He deflated his ego, he grew up Lily. I know you think James is making me say this but maybe you should give him a chance. But anyway let's go to the meeting before were late" 

We went and while I was sat in the meeting my thoughts kept on drifting back to James. LILY STOP


BACK IN THE CARRIAGE 
James' Pov

I had always like Lily, but this year was different. My mind was arguing with itself. I was confused

Stop it James

BUt you saw how she looked at us

NO. I didn't

There was love in her eyes!

More like hate.

She called you  James!

Well that is my name

But she always calls you Potter or some insult

Because I was mean and childish before

Since your not anymore, we have a chance!

My highly entertaining thoughts were interrupted when Padfoot asked me if I wanted to pull a prank. Of course I did. I was famous for. it. 

I was only just realising how much time Moony would get to spend with Lily. Lucky Bloke!
