36. Hogwarts letters

James' Pov

My mum shouted us all downstairs shortly after and had our Hogwarts letters, but she had just shouted me so I was confused. She handed me my letter and I opened it with a intruiged look plastered on my face. It felt heavier than normal

A head boy badge fell out and I slipped it in my pocket, I didnt want anyone to know and not Lily, I was going to tell the lads and that was it. My mum magically sealed my letter back without the badge and asked me to take everyone's up.

I dumped mine and the boys in mine and Sirius' room, put marlene's in her room because I know she's on the grounds. I took a deep breath, Lily.

I knocked on her door and she yelled come in.

"I have your letter" I said hovering at the door

"Come in, sit down, we need to sort things" She said firmly with a nod just to assure herself.

I sat on the edge of her bed, full of nerves but excited.

"I'm really sorry I was so off and wouldn't see both sides but at the end of the day you were off with me. However I'm saying sorry" She exaled and looked me 

"I'm sorry too, now open your letter" I give her a big cheesy grin and she returns it.

Lily frantically tore into the letter and then looked suprised as a head girl badge fell out.

I knew what this meant, we would have a private head dormitry and patrols and arranging things together. Lily doesn't know this and she won't until September 1st.

Lily's Pov

I was head girl. I was actually head girl. I bet Remus is head boy. I was so excited and couldn't help it, so I flung my arms around dorky happy Potter and tackled him into a hug. HE laughed and I realised how much I had missed this. He looked so confused but happy

We talked about small nothings for about 20 minutes then he needed to excuse himself for a shower. After about a minute of him leaving my room I hear a loud crash and then James screeching at the top of his lungs,

"MAURADERS MEETINGGGGGGG!!!!!!" 

I laughed and heard them all scramble into the room
