It was June 10th, 8:00PM and I was packing... I know, I know I'm a procrastinator I get it. Well, anyways I was packing with Marlene in the room keeping me company, because I get really lonely. My phones starts vibrating.

"Hey Selena what's up?" I greeted.

"Hey Melissa just ya know letting that I'm sorry but I'm not gonna be able to go with you guys" she stated sadly.

"Awww pero why?" I asked. ('Pero' means 'but' in Spanish)

"Because my parents decided to head over to Vegas tomorrow" she answered.

"Boo, you whore" I laughed.

"Umm no... you da whore" Selena's sass scares me sometimes.

"You tell her Selena!" Marlene routed in the backround.

"Well, anyways hope you have fun Sel. Ya know turn up, but don't get to turnt, you're only 17 remember that, use condoms and-"

"Ew you nasty fuck what do you think she's gonna do?" Marlene interrupted.

"Birth control, um... stay safe. No drugs, because hugs before drugs." I continued ignoring Marlene.

"Ok Melissa I got it" she laughed "hope to see you girls soon."

"Same girly, I miss you" I whined.

"It hasn't even been a week since we last saw her" Marlene scoffed.

"Is this your conversation? I don't think so" I put Marlene in her place.

"Oh God. You guys are awesome. Try not to kill each other" Selena laughed.

"Ew, no we're not" Marlene responded.

"I'll try my best, but not making any promises" I rolled my eyes.

"Ok well goodnight. Love you guys" Selena said.

"Love you too Sel" I answered, at the same time Marlene answered "Love you too Selena".

"Gotta say I give you props" Marlene suddenly said.

"Umm... why?" I smiled, putting some clothes into my suitcase.

"Because, you're being mature about it" she replied.

"About what?" I looked at her, not aware of what she was speaking of.

"About Sam?" she stated.

"What about Sam?" I asked eyeing her not getting at where she was going at.

"Because you're gonna see him and you're not freaking out" she explained.

"What are you talking about? I'm not gonna see him" I laughed.

"It's an O2L pool party. Sam is part of O2L, he's obviously gonna be there." Holy Crap.

"Oh my God. No. No, no no. Nope." I shook my head "I forgot about that. Nope I'm not going."

"But you have to" Marlene got closer.

"I can't Marlene, I just can't" I was seriously about to cry.

"Melissa please, you can't avoid him forever. You realize that you and him have similar friends, you guys are obviously gonna see each other. You have to be strong" Marlene explained.

"But-"

"No Melissa. You need to be strong and mature about this" Marlene calmly rubbed my back.

"I don't wanna" I whined.

"But you're gonna have to" she laughed.

"Ugh fine, whatever" I rolled my eyes.

"Good girl" she smiled.

"Ok I'm not your dog either" we both laughed, hopefully tomorrow isn't as bad as I think. We're leaving at 5AM though and I'm not a morning person... AT ALL.
