Chapter 50

"You ready?" Marlene asked as I got into the car.

"Yep. I got all my stuff packed" I answered with a cheerful smile.

"Well we should go pick up Selena now" Marlene suggested.

"Well, you are the one driving so..." I laughed.

Marlene backed out of my driveway and started driving over to Selena's house.

"Heyyyyy" Selena greeted while getting in the backseat of the car.

"Hey girl!" I cheered, as Marlene simply answered with a "Hey Selena".

"So we're actually doing this?" Selena asked.

"Yep. Still can't believe our parents let us" I responded.

"Next stop, The O2L House" Marlene drove off.

To be completely honest, the drive there was a blur (mostly because I fell asleep like 30 minutes after the drive started).

"Sam." was all that came out of my mouth as I noticed who had opened the door.

"Nice to see you too" he laughed.

Strange.

"Come on in the boys are in the patio" he informed.

"Thanks..." I said suspiciously.

As I walked into the house I heard Sam whisper something like "Have you told her yet?" but I'm not sure if that's what he said and if so to who was it directed to. But nevertheless, I decided to let it go and carry on. Marlene and I dropped out bags off in the living room, but no sign of Selena.

I thought she was behind us?

"SELENA!" I yelled out.

"I'm uh... gonna use the restroom! Be there in a few!" she responded.

Marlene looked at me confused as I just shrugged in response.

"Let's just go surprise the boys" I smiled, as Marlene followed into the patio.

"Connie!" I cheered as I jumped on Connor.

"Ricky, how you been?" I heard Marlene ask as Connor laughed at my child-filled ways.

"Oh, I see Connor gets a hug before me" I heard Jc growl, from behind mine and Connor's hug.

I quickly let go of Connor and ran to Jc. He picked me up. Wait no... HE. PICKED. ME. UP.

"Jc no!" I yelled. "I don't like this!"

"I missed you" he laughed.

"Jc please! I will legit hurt you!" I kept screaming at like the top of my lungs, as he gently placed me down and hugged me, the correct way.

"I missed you" he whispered in my ear.

I don't know why but I felt something heavy. I sensed a stare from behind me, but it wasn't directed towards me. I was too curious to let it roll by, so I swiftly turned away from the hug and to the direction where I was feeling the tension. As I turned around, I noticed Marlene did as well but towards Connor; it seemed as if she was the one that had the intense stare at Jc and I.

But why?
