"No!" This was me. Yelling at my boyfriend. In front of people. At my cousin's quince practice.
"Melissa I said 'LET'S GO'" he emphasized the main words in that sentence.
"I heard you and I said NO" I shot back.
"You're causing a scene" Sam gritted through his teeth.
"You caused a scene by showing up here!" I sighed in frustration.
"MELISSA I SAID LET'S GO" he glared one last time at me, before pulling my wrist harshly.
"Ow Sam you're hurting me" I whimpered.
"Aye man, let her go" I heard a voice approach us.
"Oh and who's this" Sam looked a little annoyed "is this the 'qt' on your Instagram picture?!" He scanned my partner once more... "well Mr. Cuteness I'm just gonna take MY GIRLFRIEND and leave."
"I don't wanna leave" I calmly interrupted the intensity between Anthony (partner) and Sam (boyfriend).
"Well that's too fucken ba-"
"If the lady doesn't want to leave she's not leaving" Anthony interrupted Sam.
"Well this 'lady' has a BOYFRIEND that came to visit her and spend ALONE time with her" Sam spat at Anthony.
I've never seen this side of Sam. It's really freaking me out.
"Well the BOYFRIEND is being a real JERK" Anthony shot back.
"Who the fuck are you calling me that?! Me and my girlfriend were having a private discussion before you came" Sam informed in a quite rude tone.
"My name is Anthony De La Cruz & well don't mean to burst your bubble, but your 'private discussion' kinda had a minimum of 100 volume."
"Stop being such a smartass and leave us alone" Sam demanded.
"Uhh... how about no." Anthony looked at me "Melissa do you wanna stay or go with this demon."
"Don't call me that shit and of course she wants to go with-" Sam got cut off...
"Stay" by me.
"Excuse me?" Sam asked in disbelief.
"You heard me: I'm staying" I responded calmly.
"But baby, please if you're staying because of my rampage I'm sorry babe. Please." he pleaded, as he got down on his knees.
"Sam. Get up and go somewhere for now. When I'm out of practice we'll meet up somewhere to talk about this" I replied having no affect of his apology.
"But-"
"Sam the lady spoke" Anthony smirked.
"Fine" Sam gritted, as he turned and headed to his car.
"You ok" Anthony asked, concerned.
"Eh. Could be better" I simply answered, as I started walking back to where we were practicing.
"You don't deserve that" he spoke, causing me to stop my steps.
"Sadly, I want that" I replied with a following sigh "can we just go and continue practice please." I asked, still not looking back at him.
"Sure" he gulped as I heard his steps get closer, cueing me to continue walking forward.
I still don't know what I'm going to tell Sam.
What am I gonna do?
I can't seem vulnerable, but I can't be to cold either.
