To say she was aghast at what Amberle enlightened her on the following morning would be an understatement, the woman freaked out internally. Out of her precious sleep, she was shook frantically by an equally panicked Amberle. Apparently, during the wee hours of the morning, someone took the liberty in vandalizing her car. Smashing all of the windows, spray painting it and leaving a handwritten note, intended only for the judge.
"Tell me you didn't touch anything, including the note?" She asked Amberle tallying the extent of the damage done out in the chilly morning, the sun was now waking up.
"No, as soon as I saw your car like this I came in search of you. I came out to get some water and I always make sure the doors are locked every time I get up, that's how I saw it,"
"Don't think I don't know who you are and the sick and twisted things you're into, you will also go down with that gold diggin' bitch of yours."
The woman read the note she found laying in her car seat out loud only to turn and find Amberle in a frightened state. "Do you know this handwriting?" She asked her and the woman visibly saw her swallow hard.
"No, but I know whose words those are."
"Is it Danny's?"
Amber nodded and the woman grimaced. "At first you said you had no idea who was threatening me, now you're certain it's Danny?"
"I'm sorry,"
"No, you owe me more than sorry, why is this man he even after me, what did I do—what did you do?"
"Nothing, I didn't do anything." Amberle fussed and Joslyn frowned harder. It was too early in the morning to be doing that shit.
"Get inside and wait for me," ordered Jos, her voice strident. The young girl ran off, disappearing inside the apartment. As soon as she was out of sight the blonde pulled her phone out from her jacket and immediately dialled Russell. "Yeah," His groggy voice came on.
"Someone trashed my car last night, I thought your men were supposed to be on the lookout?"
"What? They were, what happened?" Russell was taken aback.
"They smashed my windows, spray painted it and even slashed my tires."
"Shit, I'll call it in. I'll see to it that the cops are over there in no time. I hope you didn't touch anything," His voice laced with concern.
"No, not directly but there was also a note."
"Leave everything just the way it is, I'll be there soon." He replied and quickly the call ended.
Glanced at the watch on her slender wrist, the woman estimated it would take the police several minutes to get there, leaving her with more than enough time to learn what Amberle knew.

"Don't say a fucking word until I ask you too, do you understand?" She barked at the girl who tried to speak once the woman was inside the apartment again. The brunette had never seen the woman that livid and she knew there would be no escaping what came next.
"Aren't you tired of lying to me, even after all that I've done for you, can't you come clean?"
Silence reigned and the woman glared at the girl who couldn't look her in the eyes. "I asked you a question, miss Wilson,"
"I'm sorry, but I wasn't ready to tell you everything." She whispered and the sadness in her tone spoke to the woman's cold, angry heart. "Why not?"
"Because I'm still afraid you'll leave me on my own when you learn about the things I did," Amberle answered.
"If I wanted to do that I would've done it the very night you had the police call my house claiming that you were my niece. By now my presence should've already solidified my intention, that I'm stuck with you."
"I know and I'm sorry for everything, the lying, the stealing, the drugs. I didn't mean to do any of it and nor to get you involved." Amberle's voice trembled, she was trying her best to hide all the emotions.
"What were you to Danny?" Joslyn couldn't hold back anymore. The girl took a while before she responded, but did eventually. "At first I was his little mole, his spy, his thief. He got me to do snooping for him but after he realized that I was good at my job he offered me more, he even took interest in me," She trailed off and Joslyn allowed her time to gather her thoughts.
"I was only seventeen. He'd have me do things with him so that I could pay off my debt for all the drugs I destroyed and for me just wanting my independence."
Eventually, Joslyn finally pieced together the puzzle.
"Was he the boyfriend, the one who wanted you to do horrible things?" She asked and Amberle nodded.
"He would always have me do things I wasn't comfortable with. He never valued my safety nor had any discipline or order, he became abusive so I left, after five years. I needed to buy my freedom and he was adamant about it, it's why I stole it from Stacey."
"Didn't you have anyone besides Stacy to run too at that time?"
The girl laughed a dry laugh. "You mean like a family? I told you I don't have any of those, well I do but they hate me."
"Why?" The woman wasn't angry at the girl anymore but her stupid relatives and that insolent Danny for abusing a minor's innocence and manipulating and controlling her, scarring her permanently.
"My parents weren't exactly their favourite people on the planet either. Fraud, corruption, just to name a few were the stuff they said my parents were apart of. Before they died, my dad racked up quite a debt that his siblings refused to bail him out off. I was only a year so I can't remember the fire," the girl answered.
"I was left in my aunt's care and she always said I was going to end up like my parent's, broke, conniving and she was right. I didn't want to kiss any of my relative's snobby asses, not even their money could've convinced me to do it,"
