The week had flown by so fast that the judge wondered where it went. Everything moved so quickly, yet sucked the energy out of her. Not being around Amberle most of the time made her realize, in her quietude, how much she enjoyed and missed her company. She realized the attachment ran deep and the feeling left the woman asking many questions.
During the first couple of days, Joslyn was worried the young woman would cause a ruckus at the office but with her discreet phone calls with Victoria, she learned that the girl was complying with the rules she laid down, she even did her tasks without complaint. Amberle even abided by the curfew the woman put in place. It wasn't to limit her activities but to make sure she wasn't out late at night risking her life when the woman wasn't there by her side. In the end, Joslyn realized just how nicely the girl was shaping up. The results were subtle but she saw just how much Amberle was capable of.
The next step was to have her open up about the things that went on in her life.

On the last day that set for court, Lance and Jaime, Joslyn's sons decided they wanted to stop by for dinner with their parents and you could imagine the woman's surprise when the boys showed up. Jaime, the eldest brought his daughter Grace along with him and Joslyn was more than happy, seeing her grandbaby always made her feel better even if she wasn't in a bad mood. The entire night, the woman played with the toddler, kissing her little face and being the squishy, playful nan to the little girl. Spending time with her family, particularly with her sons and granddaughter was the judge's favourite thing to do but that night it was different. She wasn't unhappy but sat among them feeling like a part of her was missing. Continuously, she wondered about Amberle. Every moment her mind was vacant it used as an opportunity to think about her. Joslyn wanted to know what she was doing, how she felt, if she was okay and as obvious as she was certain she was, no one seemed to notice at the dinner table, not even Luther. He was deeply engaged in the ongoing conversation with their boys she pitied him.
Luther was a good man no doubt but he was a terrible husband. All the things he'd done over the years, the lying, the cheating, the covering up, the scandals, all of it left the woman resenting him.
It wasn't because she thought she was perfect that she had the right, Joslyn wasn't the fucked up one, fortunately, and she resented him for the casual lies.Once dinner had ended and the boys left for uni again, the woman missed Amberle's presence enough to want to see her. Washing up the dishes after the meal, and making sure the kitchen was cleaned, Jos decided to leave.
"Are you heading out?" Luther asked when he saw her putting her jacket on and she paused to gaze at him. "Yeah, about to go have some drinks with a few friends," she stated calmly and he nodded.
"Do you want me to wait up for you?"
"No, it's okay. Plus if I'm too tired to make it back, I might spend the night with Rose," she answered without remorse or guilt. There was a flash of sadness behind the man's eyes and she ignored it; the table had turned she thought hurrying up to leave.
"Don't stay up too late, honey," she mentioned without looking back. She was out the door after that.

The drive to the apartment was a bit dull, nothing unusual happened along the way until Jos realized she was being followed. That epiphany struck about fifteen minutes into the drive. The road was fairly busy, but that particular car made every turn and stop she did and it frightened her. Her nerves started to get the better of her, she panicked eventually dialling Russell. She told him what was happening and he assured her that he would find her, all she needed to do was keep driving and stay on the phone.
Joslyn spent another fifteen minutes leading the car all over the city until she talked Russell through where she was. A police car intercepts, blaring its sirens and flashing the lights. The woman wasn't sure what happened after the car was pulled over but she expressed her gratitude to the detective.
After the chilling ordeal, the woman thought of returning home but figured Amber would appreciate her company more. Another twenty minutes later and she pulled up to the apartment, finding the place in total darkness.
"Amberle," Jos called out but didn't get a response. She figured she'd find the young woman fast asleep or uncovered that she disobeyed her instructions and stayed out late. Taking off her jacket and throwing it aimlessly across the couch where it landed, the woman heads off to the room the girl occupied. She pushed open Amberle's bedroom door and was immediately greeted with the sight of her on the bed, her back arched, her chest exposed. Rapid fingers moved between the girl's thighs. It wasn't what the woman expected to find at all but was pleasantly surprised. She found it mirthful that Amberle hadn't realized she entered the apartment and was watching her pleasure herself. But being the wicked person she was, the woman cleared her throat hard enough for the girl to hear and much to her satisfaction Amberle jumped out of her flesh.
"Joslyn!" She exclaimed out of breath and the blonde smirked. The brunette tried to cover herself but figured what was the point.
"Amberle," the woman replied with a devilish grin.
"I-uhh wasn't expecting you to come tonight."
"Yeah, but never mind that right? I think it's only fair that you continue doing whatever it was that had you so squirmy." She tossed.
Grabbing a chair from the kitchen, Joslyn dragged it back into the room, placing it at an angle where she could see everything at a perfect view. "Continue," she said eyeing the girl with a hunger.
