"So, what now?" The woman asked after the deep conversation with the very man she'd been somewhat afraid of for the last two or so months. The car grew silent, and if anyone listened close enough they could hear Joslyn's frantic heart bashing inside her chest. The tension in the vehicle was tangible.
Not only was she afraid for herself but Amberle and her family. She was confused but the answers she needed could only come from one person and that individual was the man with a ponytail in the front seat."If I were you I'd consider staying away from Amberle. Not only will she cause you harm, but also your family."
"Why, because you're gonna do something? You're going to sit there a threaten someone of the law?"
"I'll threaten everyone, I don't care and it's no secret that I don't like you, but do I hate you to that extent where I'll hurt your family? Kinda. And that's because you're in my fucking way, you're holding me back from the thing I desire the most. But I'm not the one you need to be afraid of if I'm being honest,"
"Really?"
"That's right because compared to the other people Amberle's been involved with I'm like a saint."
"What do you mean other persons?" She questioned. The woman knew Amberle did illegal things for horrible people but she never knew who does people were or what she did.
"I'm sure she's mentioned all the jobs she did for me and most likely those people were provoked and would try everything possible to see her dead or harmed now."
"Why do you need her so badly if you know this, why can't you leave her alone?"
"As I've stated Judge, she owes me money and I'd be damned if I let her die before she pays that debt off, so I'll keep her safe for as long as it takes."
"It's all about money, huh?"
"Isn't everything?" Questioned Danny.
"I'd like for you to take me back to the bar, or at least my apartment," said the woman, letting him know she was tired of their talk and his presence.
"Lucky for you I will. You aren't what I need although you did cross me. I swear once I have what I want I'll leave you alone for good though."
"Please just take me home," the woman reiterated and soon enough the vehicle pulled off slowly.

The drive was short. In the front seat, Danny sparked his lighter with a cigarette pressed between his lips. The stench of it filled the air within the car and the woman scrunched her nose.
"Have you heeded anything I said, your honour?" He asked and was met with silence.
"I'll take that as a yes. Now, remember to have your little sub cooperate or things will get sour for both of you—you in particular because I need her. Do you understand?" he asked again and Joslyn nodded.
The woman felt anger towards Amberle for being vague about her long list of sins. The girl even altered the truth.
She was right, if Joslyn had known about all the things she was involved with beforehand, she would've stayed clear and probably not even help her at all. But the other half of her still felt some type of way for Amberle although she hid things.Climbing out of the vehicle after one of the men lets her out, she stood a distance away from the car just watching.
"Don't be a fool, your honour. Not because she's pretty means that she's a saint. Get to know Amberle and you'll understand why I'm warning you," Danny said and the car sped away living the woman standing in the open with all sorts of questions within her head.
