"You've known me for all these years yet you still think I'm some sort of idiot," Danny spoke icily while walking around the couch. He stopped when he circled, staring directly at the back of the girl's head. Amberle felt his cold, calloused hand wrapping around her neck and she panicked. Before she could escape from his tight grip, he squeezed tighter, forcing her to stay still. The man shushed her, he pushed her back into the couch and then tilt her head backwards so she was looking up while he glared down at her.
"You think I'm stupid right, is that it?" He asked squeezing some more and quickly Amberle's life flashed before her eyes. She didn't want to be there, she didn't want to talk to Danny, she didn't even wanna see him.
"I'm sorry," she whispered, trying not to cry as he held her firmly.
"Sorry? I don't want you to be sorry, I haven't done anything yet," Danny whispered in her ear and the girl's entire body shivered. The tears started to come slowly until she was sobbing uncontrollably.
"C'mon Amberle don't waste your tears. Now let's get going before your police friends get here. Oh and get rid of the tracking device, now." He stated releasing her throat. Immediately the girl threw her phone away, watching it as it skidded across the floor.
"Lame, even a child could've figured that out." He spoke.
"Where are you going to take me?" Amberle asked as they made their way through the house.
"Just think of it as a little reunion get away for you and me." He answered and she frowned. Before they could've made it to the back door, it burst open revealing a cop in full gear. In seconds both the cop and Danny were pointing guns at each other.
"Put the gun down!" the police officer yelled and very bluntly Danny replied,
"I'd rather not," and fired his gun twice, hitting the cop at his side.
The man fell to the ground, not being able to react quickly stunted him along with the bullets that sat inside him now. He groaned and the dumbfounded girl gasped, covering her mouth to keep from squealing. The cop bled out quickly, his life flashing before his eyes.
Against her will, Amber was ushered away from the scene. The loud bang from the gun along with the sight of a grown man who pissed himself brewed a headache. That wasn't supposed to happen, at all. The others were supposed to stop something like that from occuring. Why didn't they stop it?
Danny moved them through another exit, the sight that greeted then when they bust through the door caused him to pull the girl inside.
"Shit!" He exclaimed and she flinched at his reaction. Usually, when he was irritated unsolicited blows would follow and instinct made her try to protect herself.
"What did you do?" He questioned after finding out that the house was surrounded by cops.
"I told you, you're not as smart as you think,"
Like the coward he was, Danny swung his massive palm across the girl's cheek. The sudden act caused a shriek to leave her lips and with the fresh taste of blood filled her mouth, Amberle glared at the man. Gripping her face she studied him. He was sweating beyond normal and his all so perfect outward appearance was dishevelled. In turn, the devious girl laughed, causing him to scowl.
"What's so funny?"
"You're what's funny." She giggled and he frowned even harder. "You're going to jail and look how easy they caught you," she added and yet again he smirked.
"You think I'm going to jail?"
"Well, they're not here to take you out for drinks,"
Danny pulled his phone out of his pocket, what he showed the girl next caused her entire world to collapse.
It was a video of Joslyn tied up in a room by herself, the woman looked like she was drugged, her head swivelled around uncontrollably and she just appeared lifeless."It's a live video, so if you ever want to see her alive again I suggest you cooperate, okay?" He asked and the brunette nodded. "Good, now tell them to back the fuck off or I kill the bitch and then you." He barked and she flinched, tears threatening once again.
