Case 017: False Accusation 👮

                               "Nightmare"

He's busy reading the huge pile of reports on his desk when Tobby barged into his office.

"Does your Mom told you to knock before come in to someone's room?" He lift his head to face his visitor. The guy who just entered ignored his insult and headed towards his direction.

"We already talk, didn't we? That I will return the money to Mr. Wang in exchange of passing the case to you but what did you do?"

"Wait... what are you talking about?" he asked as if if don't have an idea on the inspector's sentiment.

"Will you please stop acting like that?" the guy replied and clenched his teeth in anger.

"Like what?" he challenged. He stood up, so he could meet his stare.

Tobby lose his patience and punched his table. He just smiled at the inspector in front of him, totally not intimidate on what  the inspector just did.

"May usapan tayo, pero bakit mo  binanggit na may binayarang pulis si Mr. Wang?"

"Chill .... "He said tapping Tobby's shoulder." I didn't mention your name yet." Tobby balled his fist out of frustration. For the second time, the inspector clench his teeth and throw a deadly glare at him."I would have let you but that old man annoyed me, idagdag mo pa 'yong dalawang tauhan mo. And besides, I thought it would be good to use that in the case. You know I just want to make sure of everything."

He's always making sure of everything. Tuso na kung tuso,  but that's how he rule the game. Mga tao rin naman sa paligid niya ang nagturo sa kanya kung bakit siya naging ganito.

"Why don't you ask Mr. Wang to cancel the complain? I'm sure he'll do that, just blackmail him, d'yan ka naman magaling." Tobby said with a mixture of pleas. His arrogance faded in an instant.

"Thanks for the compliment." He smiled, his usual mischievous smile that makes the inspector in front of him infuriates more. "It's good to hear compliments from inspector like you, but I'm not considering your suggestion. It worked for you, but it doesn't mean it'll also work to others."

"What do you want ... to imprison me too? "Tobb smirked. He prevented the laughter spilling out of his mouth. It's funny to know that a devil like Inspector Santiago is also afraid of something. Instead of getting intimidated and annoyed , he just wanted to laugh watching him.

"Oh c'mon haven't you inform about your Father's connection? Don't worry cause I'm sure hindi ka naman niya pababayaan."

He saw how Tobby balled his fist. He don't know if it's him or the latter stunned when he heard the word father? "Nang-aasar ka ba talaga!"

He can feel anytime Tobby's temper will explode but he looks so calmed. "If you don't have anything to say will you please just go?" he said returning to his chair. "I have a lot of things to do."

"Hindi pa tayo tapos Alejandro!" Tobby warned him and slammed the door.

He shook his head and returned his attention on his papers. He have lot of many things to do and Inspector Santiago is least of his concern.

The next day they went back to the hospital for Rica's statement. Honestly he don't need to hear her side cause he know for sure, he will only hear bunch of alibi's. But they have to follow the legal process and this case can't proceed without the complainant's statement.

As usual he was with the detective again. Nathalie also begged to come with them because she had not yet visited her sick friend. James also came to support his girlfriend. He knows that Nathalie and James don't have official relationship. But as they say action speaks louder than words, so Alejandro considered them as a couple.
