"Tragic Past"
Two years ago..
It's past ten o'clock in the evening but she haven't eat her dinner yet. Her stomach crumbled but she did nothing but to look on the huge file on her desk.
"Alex 'di ka pa kakain?" Mau, her co-police officer asked her. Mau get out from her chair and walk towards the door. Hinihintay pa nito ang sagot niya bago tuluyang lumabas ng pinto.
"Mamaya na lang, kailagan ko pang tapusin 'to," she answered as she patted the files on her desk. Mas gugustuhin niya pang sunod-sunod na trabaho at pagkatapos ay mahabang pahinga kaysa sa magpahinga agad at pagkatapos ay isang tambak na trabaho na naman.
"Ikaw bahala." Mau shrugged before leaving the room.
She heaved a sigh and look at the four corner of their office, mag-isa na naman siya.
Gumagawa siya ng report ukol sa kasong hinawakan niya kanina. Rubbing/thief ang kasong iyon.
"Knock knock!" she heard a knock on the door, not actually knock but someone said "knock Knock" she doesn't have to look to know who's standing on the doorway. She recognized who's the owner of the voice. She smiles as she lift up her chin to face him.
"Hey hindi ka naman ma-popromote n'yan agad as General," he joked when he see the huge file on her desk and see how engross she was with her works.
She pouted. "Sinabi ko ba na mapopromote akong general ha?" sagot niya sa biro nito. She's a PO3 and he is a police inspector. Mabilis itong na -promote kaysa sa kanya dahil napasama ito sa isang special mission.
He just gave her a very sweet smile. She really miss that smile, she really miss him. Matagal na rin niyang hindi nakikita ang nobyo. Pareho silang police pero sa magkaibang lugar nakadestino. Siya sa Sittio Ibarra habang ito naman ay nasa San Simon. They're both dedicated with their works, sinusubsob nilang pareho ang sarili sa pagtatrabaho kaya madalang lang silang magkita. People admire them, dahil kahit minsan lang magkasama at nananatiling matatag ang relasyon nila.
