I got up to my room and started packing, I didn't have to deal with this shyt especially when I had my own place right around the corner and I don't have to stay somewhere I clearly wasn't wanted. I got the essentials; some clothes, the money my dad had given me, some pictures and whatever else I could fit in this duffle bag... see I wasn't even mad about that smack because if we were being honest it's not the first time she's hit me... nah what pissed me off the most is how she blatantly disrespected my dad's family. Like I understood her disdain for my dad give that they were married but for her to call my dad's side ghetto and assumes they're in an out of jail is bullshyt; besides from what De'Vaugh had told me about that side of my family most of them were on their shyt and if we were really keeping it a hunnid there were more people in jail on my mom's side than my dad's. I gathered my stuff and walked downstairs where Lucci was standing across from this light-skinned dude, Jacobi was standing behind him clearly checking out his ass and my mom had walked into the living room with that same stern expression on her face.
"Nazeer if you leave out this house I will call the police and report you as a runaway." My mom said and I stood there staring at her. "Let me guess you called your punk ass daddy and now he's coming to get you, I wish the fuck he would because according to the letter of the law you're mine until you're eighteen, once you turn eighteen you can do what the fuck you want but until then take your punk ass back upstairs."
"Uhh Ms. Natalie, Naz was actually coming to my house I figured y'all needed some time to cool down; you know cooler heads prevail or whatever the saying is." Jacobi said I could see the wheels turning in my mom's head before she finally relented.
"Alright... just make sure you don't put that bag anywhere near that boy... I was talking to Rochelle and she was telling me that it brought roaches with him from Ohio and you know how I feel about bugs and don't leave your wallet around him, he looks like the type to steal, then again all hoodrats steal so be careful." My mom said walking off. When we got outside I was even more pissed off because I was sick of her.... everything about her was starting to drive me crazy before we could get to the car that light-skinned dude that was talking to Lucci ran out after me.
"Ayy look I know it' none of my business but I think my sister, Lucci's mom can help.... she's a lawyer and I'm pretty sure there are some laws that can get you out of this situation because given the look on your face I can't tell you're over it. If she can't help I'm sure she can point you in the right direction. I'm Larenz by the way and I'll be around a lot more often so if you need someone to talk to let me know... I know a little something about having an ain't shyt mom." Larenz said handing me a card with I'm guessing Lucci's mom's number on it.
"Uhh thanks....." I said getting in the car and looking at the card, from what Lucci told me his mom was the Wicked Witch of the West, but then again if you asked my mom my dad was Satan so you could really judge someone based off other peoples words. "Thanks for covering for me....." I said as Jacobi backed out of the driveway, I should've taken my car but that would've been too suspicious but I was definitely coming back for it.
"No problem bro but uhh.... you mind not saying anything to Quran about what my mom told your mom? I really don't feel like hearing that niggas mouth and plus I really feel like after our little mission together we've grown a little closer." Jacobi said and I nodded. "So where are we heading?" He asked and I told him to take me to my house.
"Ayy I'll probably call you a little later to come and get me so I can pick up my car....." I said getting out the passenger seat.
"Aight I'm about to go pick up August so if I don't answer just call Quran, he's mobile now that I let him use my old car." Jacobi said and I nodded before walking inside, now that I was alone I had time to think.... how pissed will my mom be if I called my stepdad's ex-wife for help, more than likely she'd probably try to hit me but honestly it was worth the drama because I couldn't go back there. I tossed my bag in the corner and pulled out the secret phone my dad had gave me and went to the only number I had saved.....
