De'Vaugh 98

I hated seeing Naz cry, I hated that he had to go through all this, and I hated that it was his mom that was the one doing this to him.... I've always hated Natalie but I never imagined that she would go this far. But Naz had Scorpio to comfort him... me I was on some other shyt and so was Henny, and given the look in Lucci's eyes, he was definitely on the same shyt that we were. Long story short... Natalie had to die, there was really no other way around it and if I had to be the one to pull the trigger then so be it. But she had the money and resources to drop off the face of the earth and she had a headstart on us, although I had a plan so me, Henny, Lucci, and Larenz got in Henny's Crown Vic and pulled off. Henny, following Slayer's direction, was taking us to Natalie's office obviously she was in a rush and when you rush you tend to forget things and that was a good place to start. While I should be focused on our mission I was distracted by Larenz who was sitting next to me in the back seat... the smell of his cologne was making my dick hard.

"Natalie was behind what happened to Leonardo... she did something to him that he doesn't remember all the details but it caused stroke-like symptoms and his coma. Now she's killed her own mother and blamed it on Slayer, not to mention the fact that she killed my....." Larenz trailed off and I knew he was talking about Lucci's mom. "The point is she's not going to be easy to take down, she's got lawyers, she's got judges, she's got the mayor in her pocket."

"So what are our options? I have no problem putting a bullet in the bitch's brain seems like we'd be doing the world a favor by taking her out of it." Henny said from the front seat. I see he hasn't changed much which could be a good or bad thing, depending on what side you were on.

"Let's just see what we can find in her office before we make any definitive plans." I said as we pulled up to the building, we all started to get out but it would look mad suspicious if four niggas walked into this building so I figured the safe bet would be for me and Lucci to go in, though I didn't look anything like Nazeer I knew he hadn't been here in years so I could easily pass for him and Lucci had been up here a few times so I knew he'd get a pass. "What are we looking for exactly?" I asked as we made it to the elevator.

"Anything... like y'all said Natalie was rushing so there's a chance that she could've left something behind." Lucci said pressing the button to the top floor. Despite us not being together anymore I could still tell when something was bothering him. "I'm good De'Vaugh, I'm just over all this drama with Natalie... I can't believe I actually looked up to her at one point. When I first met her she was so sweet and caring, who would've guessed that she was fuckin crazy."

"You didn't get any clues from the way she treated Nazeer?" I asked and Lucci looked at me and I could tell he didn't like my question. "What? I just started coming back around my cousin and I could see he's been through hell, then again you probably didn't notice because you were fuckin him and you were more concerned about getting some dick than his actual feelings."

"I see you're still in your feelings that I was fuckin you and Nazeer at the same time. What more do you want from me De'Vaugh? I've apologized to both you and Nazeer and I've moved on, I'm not going to keep relitigating old shyt... I've moved on, you should do the same." Lucci said as the elevator stopped and the doors opened, we walked down the halls and we got some looks but once they recognized Lucci they pretty much left us alone.

"Luciano! What are you doing here?" A woman asked and I looked at Lucci hoping he knew her.

"I was actually coming up here to get something out of my stepmom's office for my dad, is she... is she in there Bernice?" Lucci asked and the woman Bernice shook her head.

"Actually she isn't... and I haven't heard from her all day which is strange because she usually calls if she's going to be running late, but I'm happy to hear that your dad is up, Ms. Natalie has been distraught over what happened. You're free to go in there and grab what you need, but your friend will have to wait out here." Bernice said still smiling, me and Lucci looked at each other and I nodded.

"Go ahead Lucci, I'll be fine." I said as Lucci walked into the office leaving me with Bernice who was a little too friendly for my liking, no one who works with Natalie should be this damn happy. "So how long have you worked for my Aunt Natalie?" I asked wanting to break the silence.

"A few weeks, I was a nurse in Chicago but Ms. Natalie seemed to like my work ethic and offered me a job down here." Bernice said still smiling.... hmm a nurse in Chicago, that couldn't be a coincidence I thought to myself. "So Ms. Natalie is your aunt? You must be the nephew of her ex-husband, he's so damn fine.... sorry don't tell her I said that." Bernice said.

"Don't worry it'll be our little secret.... and since we're sharing secrets has my aunt made you do anything that involves my cousin? I remember her saying something about getting Nazeer some help for his uhh.... his condition." I said giving her a charming smile and for a second I didn't think Bernice would fall for it but apparently she wasn't as smart as she pretended to be.

"Yeah, she was really torn up about it too.... but I don't blame her if I had a son and he turned out to be.... gay." Bernice whispered the last word. "I would do everything in my power to get him the help he needs, so when Ms. Natalie asked me to look into it I found a specialist here in Georgia that was willing to come and talk to Nazeer, she was going to have her pastor talk to him but since he was murdered she had to look for someone else." Bernice said and I decided to end the conversation right then and there because Bernice had already given me more than I needed.

"De'Vaugh let's go.... what I was looking for doesn't seem to be in there." Lucci said walking out of Natalie's office, we got back outside and I decided not to tell Lucci about my conversation with Bernice just yet. "Now we're back at square one, Natalie is gone... she emptied out all the safes in the house and no one seems to know where she went so basically we're fucked." Lucci said frustrated.

"Not necessarily, Bernice may have told me that Natalie had her looking into a specialist for Nazeer. It may be nothing but it's more than we got, we just need to figure out who this specialist is she was talking about and maybe he could lead us to Natalie or at the very least give us some clues as to what she was planning." I said knowing that it wasn't much but it was more than we started out with.

"That's all fine and well but I got some other shyt with Lil Lucci that we need to handle, so I'm going to drop y'all back off over your cousin's and we're going to go handle some shyt for Slayer." Henny said and I glanced at Larenz who had been quiet but he already seemed to know what Henny and Lucci had to handle. We got back to Nazeer's house and it looked like everyone had gone inside, I started to make my way towards the door when Larenz grabbed my hand stopping me.

"What else did Bernice say?" Larenz asked looking into my eyes. "Come on De'Vaugh I could tell by the look on your face when you walked out that there was more to the story so what else is there?"

"Natalie's secretary, she said before moving down here she was a nurse.... from Chicago, now maybe I'm reaching but Natalie had to have some help getting into your sister's hospital room... but I can't believe that Natalie would be so stupid as to hire the woman who helped her commit murder as her personal secretary." I said looking into his eyes.

"I need a fuckin drink.... you think your cousin got anything in his house because today has just been.... it's been a lot." Larenz said and I highly doubted that Nazeer had any alcohol in his house.

"Probably not, but I got that exclusive shyt back at my penthouse if you wanna go there.... I love my cousin but I can't go in there, stuff like that breaks my heart and I need to be level headed right now." I said and Larenz started laughing.

"And alcohol is going to make you level headed?" Larenz asked and I guess he has a valid point. "But yeah, let's go to your place.... but we should go in there and let your cousin know what we found out at your aunt's job." Larenz said walking towards the house, I took a deep breath and followed after him knowing that the second I told Nazeer what his mom was planning things were going to get a lot worse so I wanted to enjoy one last day of normalcy before all hell broke loose..................
