Before this conversation even started I could tell you how it was going to go since August had already given me the cliff notes version of the conversation he had with Loyalty. Semaj was going to say that he'd talk to him because Loyalty was under the impression that it was he who killed his mom, Quran was going to object because he was protective of Semaj, August was going to say (as he had) earlier that me and Victor should own up to it and Victor more than likely was going to tell August to eat a dick. Honestly I wasn't ready to face what I did... not because I was afraid of that nigga Loyalty but because I felt like there was more to it than just him, we knew that Natalie was the one behind the scenes pulling the strings and what not and I really didn't think it was wise to give her more information than she already had. But we all needed to be on the same exact page before we agreed to any meeting with Loyalty and for that we needed to decide whether Semaj was going to continue to take the fall for what I did or if I was going to man up and finally tell the truth about what happened that night.

"Cobi... remember that day I the Quarry? I told you that a day would come where I would need you to do something for me... well today is that day, I'm not going to keep this lie going for you and Victor anymore." Semaj said looking at me. "I'm not saying that you need to go to the police and confess but you need to face this nigga and let this know the truth."

"Me personally... I don't think any of y'all should go." Quran said and everyone turned and faced him. "This nigga is being used by Naz's mom and I truly believe that our focus should be on her and not get distracted by this other shyt, everything else can be handled afterwards. We gotta move quickly though because I'm only here for a few more weeks..... and when I leave I want to know that everything is good here."

"We can do multiple things at once, I don't think we should sleep on this nigga Loyalty there's enough of us where we can deal with this shyt on multiple fronts." August said looking at me. "I really don't like the idea of my dude OR my cousin going to meet with this nigga, I say let him try something and he'll find out the hard way that all Cunninghams have a little crazy in them."

"I'll talk to him.... it's really no point, in making more enemies so I'll tell him exactly what happened and we'll deal with it from there. But Q is right, Natalie is the bigger problem; she's already got Naz's dad arrested, put Lucci's dad in the hospital, got Jerell hanging from my nutsack, she's stalking Quran..... who knows what else she's got up her sleeve." I said looking around the room. "So when and how is this nigga supposed to be contacting you so we can get this shyt over and done with."

"I agree, my mom is the problem and I'm at the point where I just want this shyt to end.... no matter what the outcome is." Naz said walking into the room and I could hear the sadness in his voice. "But I think I should talk to her.... she needs help and maybe I'm the only person who can convince her to get the help she needs." Naz said and I knew all too well how helpful therapy could be.

"We should split up into three groups; one to deal with this nigga Loyalty, another to stick with Lucci, and the last to go with Naz to talk to his mom. I'm definitely going with Jacobi because he might need his big cousin to save his ass." Quran said smirking.

"I need to smoke...." Tripp said and he wasn't the only one, we put a pause on our planning and decided to chill out until we got word from Loyalty about the meeting place. The mood around Naz's house varied from person to person; I was nervous, August seemed pumped, Quran seemed deep in thought, and Nazeer seemed sad.... hopefully all this shyt ended soon because I just wanted to end my summer on a positive note and the only way I could see that happening was getting rid of the main source of all the drama we've dealt with.

After we smoked we split up into three groups to deal with our three main issues, the first group was Team Leonardo which would deal with looking after Lucci's dad that group was made up of; Lucci, Larenz, Slayer, and Victor. The second group was Team Natalie whose job was to go with Nazeer to confront his mom and that group was; Nazeer, Clévon, Semaj, Wally, and Rayshawn. The final group was Team Loyalty and we were going to see what that nigga wanted to talk about and that group was; me, August, Quran, Torique, and Tripp.

"Cobi are you sure you wanna do this? I mean we can always say fuck that nigga and go help the other two groups." Quran said and I nodded. "Aight well this is the place where he wanted to meet but I don't see any cars here." Quran said looking around and August punched the dashboard.

"That's because this is a fuckin setup... I don't trust that nigga and I think we're all dumb as fuck or even agreeing to this." August said and I understood his paranoia but I was just ready to get this shyt over with so we could move on with our lives.

"I think one of y'all should go in there with him..." Tripp said and that was never a question because even though Loyalty said that he wanted the person who killed his mom to come along, I didn't know nor trust this nigga and I was that stupid.

"Here take this...." Torique said passing me a gun. "Just in case." He said as I noticed a person slipping inside of the house we were supposed to be meeting.

"There he goes right there... so who's coming with me?" I asked trying to sound more confident than I felt, August and Quran both moved at the same time and then looked at me basically asking me to choose between them. I really wanted to pick August but he was a livewire and he would possibly make the situation worse with his mouth, Quran wasn't any better to be completely honest but at least he was level-headed at the moment.

"Quran let's go...." I said and I could tell August was pissed but for this, I needed my family. We got out of the car and walked up to the house, the door was left slightly opened and we walked inside.

"I thought I made it clear that I wanted to speak with you alone.... wait you're not the nigga I was waiting for." Loyalty said turning on a light and looking at me.

"Actually I am.... I was the one behind the wheel, Semaj was innocent the whole time. He could've ratted us out but he didn't so whatever you're going to do let's just stop the games because it's childish." I said barely able to make out his face in the dim light.

"No games... I just wanna know what happened. I get the gist of it my mom was going through something and it made her not want to live anymore.... but I wanna hear it from your perspective so tell me.... what happened that night." Loyalty said leaning forward.

"There's not much to tell.... I was driving, she ran out into the middle of the street and I didn't have time to swerve, I probably should've called for help but I was driving Semaj's car and I was scared. I'm sorry that I didn't stop to help but like I said I was scared....." I said holding his gaze.

"Aight coo.... that's all I wanted to know." Loyalty said walking out the house, this had to be some kind of a joke but after a few minutes of nothing happening, I realize he was gone.

"Is that it?" I asked Quran as we walked back to the car and he shrugged. "Come on you gotta feel like it's more to it than that, like he set up this meeting demanded secrecy and then when he got the truth he just dipped, something doesn't feel right, what if he was recording the conversation?" I asked.

"That's always a possibility but right now we should just be happy that all he wanted to do was talk. Let's just go meet you with Naz and them to see what our next move should be." Quran said, we got back into the car and gave them a quick recap of the very short conversation with Loyalty.

"That's it?" August asked and I nodded. "Seems fishy but I'll take it... as long as he doesn't try anything too crazy then as far as I'm concerned this situation is over and done with." August said and as we pulled off I noticed Loyalty standing on the corner talking on the phone, our eyes connected and even through the darkness, I saw the fires of revenge burning in his eyes.......
