'Uncle' Wallace's request sounded easy enough, his son Wallace Junior has been growing increasingly more and more disrespectful and 'Uncle' Wallace wanted me to beat his ass.... seems simple, right? And the simplicity of the request is what troubled me the most, for the sake of simplicity we're going to call Wallace Junior, Wally since that was his nickname when I met him but I remember when we were growing up Uncle Wallace had no trouble beating his kids asses in public for acting up so it boggled my mind that he would come to me to fight him when he used to say all the time that 'he didn't care how old his kids got he'd beat they asses if they tried him' so what changed? There were only a few hours before the fight started and I wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible, it didn't take me long to find Wally though because he was in the same place he always was which was the library, even though he was built like a football player he was more focused on school than sports. I walked up to his table and sat across from him, he didn't seem surprised to see which confirmed my suspicions he offered me his hand and I dapped him up before leaning back to get his side of the story.

"I saw your mom earlier.... she offered me a stack to beat your ass because you were extremely disrespectful, she said you've been mouthing off, and that you were constantly disrespecting her new husband and beating up your stepbrother." Wally said shaking his head.

"That's funny because I saw your dad earlier and he told me that you were being disrespectful as well, he didn't offer me money though, he offered me information." I said looking at him. "So what do you know about what they are planning?" I asked because something told me he knew more than I did.

"Not much.... but they're definitely up to something, my mom sees it too so she's been talking to a lawyer to make sure when my dad leaves he leaves with everything he came with which is damn near nothing. I've always hated your mom, even when we were little she was always a bitch and your ass was always defending her despite her treating you like a dead dog." Wally said and I shrugged. "What do they have to gain by us fighting, is the question I've been asking myself for the last few hours."

"They probably hope that we'd kill each other." I said jokingly and Wally's eyes got big ass fuck. "Bro I was just playing." I said but he jumped up and started gathering all his shyt. "Umm are you going somewhere?" I asked looking at him.

"Yeah and so are you, come on it'll be quick." Wally said and I guess, I had no choice but to follow him. An hour later we were sitting in his dad's office, this was a huge risk because there was no telling when he'd come back. Wally went to work on his dad's laptop typing away furiously, I wasn't sure what he was looking for but he seemed to find it quickly and given the anger that was building behind his brown eyes I could tell that he wasn't liking what he was seeing. "That dirty bastard." Wally said quietly.

"What did you find?" I asked and just as Wally was about to tell me, we heard his dad yelling as he got closer to his office, me and Wally looked at each other and he pointed to the most obvious hiding place in the world, the closet but we really didn't have a choice so quickly but quietly we moved to the closet and closed the door just as Uncle Wallace walked into the office.

"Yeah, that bitch just left........ look it'll work..... they'll fight because I could see it in Nazeer's eyes that he wanted that information more than anything and that little bastard of mine is money hungry always asking for shyt....... Natalie, trust me this plan is flawless, you just worry about that punk ass husband of yours, I bet he's still grieving over that bitch of his, though I still don't get what the point of killing her was......" Uncle Wallace said and I felt like I was going to be sick. "Look I'm just making sure the life insurance on my four problems before their accident.... you just make sure everything is good on your end.... aight I love you too." Uncle Wallace said hanging up, me and Wally looked at each other trying to process everything we had just heard, did my mom really......

"So that confirms it, my dad just recently took out life insurance on my mom, my little brother and sister, and myself. That nigga is really plotting to kill us and I'm willing to bet that your mom is doing the same." Wally said once Uncle Wallace had left and the coast was clear, even then we didn't talk until we got back to the library.

"We should go to the police, or at the very least my dad.... he'll know what to do." I said but Wally shook his head. "You're not going to do anything crazy are you?" I asked looking in his eyes, there wasn't sadness or anger, all I saw was resolve and that scared me more than anything because whatever he had decided I knew there was nothing I could say that would change his mind.

"I'm going to do what he raised me to do, which is to protect my family with my life." Wally said shrugging. "I may need you as a witness though IF something were to go down." Wally said and I nodded. "Aight, I'll catch you later Nazeer." Wally said dappin me up as he walked back into the library. I pulled off and the first thing I did was call my dad because I wanted him to know what we had overheard Uncle Wallace saying.

"Dad, do you really think that mom killed Lucci's mom?" I asked, I knew my mom was evil but I didn't think she was psychotic.

"I'm not sure Naz, but for right now all I need for you to do is forget everything you heard and continue on as if nothing has changed; I'm serious Nazeer don't breathe a word of this to anyone, promise me." My dad said and there was subtle hints of a threat in his voice but also reassurance that he was going to handle it.

"Aight dad I promise." I said quietly. "Look Jacobi is calling and if you want me to pretend like everything is okay then I have to answer it." I said feeling a little salty that he was treating me like a child.

"Yeah, okay Naz... just do what I tell you, I love you." He said hanging up and I switched over to Jacobi who hadn't even said anything and I could tell that he was irritated.

"Bro how are you going to invite us over and then your ass not be here when we arrive?" Jacobi said and I swear today really wasn't the day to get on my nerves and he was already talking himself into an ass-whoopin.

"Man I'm on my way, I had some shyt I needed to handle calm your pussy and give me like ten minutes." I said knowing damn well it would probably be longer than that but I wasn't trying to argue with that nigga because I had too much shyt on my mind at the moment. I pulled up and everybody was gathered out front making my house look like the fuckin trap house and I could already tell they were pissed about having to wait out in the heat. "Fuck y'all staring at I told y'all I had some shyt to handle. Now, are y'all going to stand there or are y'all going to help me with the groceries?" I asked popping the trunk and they all started helping me take the stuff inside my house.

"You alright Naz, you seem a little tense?" Semaj asked and I waved him off.

"Yeah just some personal shyt I'm dealing with, I'll be alright after this fight...... you need to be worrying about your boy." I said nodding to Quran who was out on the porch talking on the phone and his face was contorted like he was about to kill somebody, Semaj shook his head and walked outside while the rest of us put the groceries away and start prepping for this fight.

"Naz, you good bro? I know you.... usually your calm and even-keeled now you just seem pissed about something and you definitely didn't sound that way when we talked on the phone earlier so wassup?" Jacobi asked walking over to me and I really wished people would stop asking me if I was good because that was pissing me off even more.

"Look I'm good bro, thanks for asking but when you find out your mom is the devil incarnate that can really fuck up your day, I just need to calm down a bit and I'll be good, just stop fuckin asking me if I'm good please?" I asked and Jacobi nodded.

"Aight I got you, I'll leave it alone... Now get your ass in the kitchen and start cooking because I'm not trying to be scrambling around before this fight." Jacobi said and I knew he was trying to take my attention off my issues and I appreciate him for it but after what I learned today I knew it was going to take a lot more than cooking to distract me.................
