ROCHELLE (Jacobi's Mom)
This little girl had a mouth on her, she was shady as fuck, borderline disrespectful, and above all else persistent.... and even though I loathed to admit it, she reminded me a lot of my younger self. She was the reason, along with my husband Jacquez that after all these years I finally reached out to my twin sister and discussed the problems between us, don't get me wrong the animosity between us was still there but this was the first step in mending our relationship. To be honest I don't even remember what caused the issue, I know for a fact that it didn't have anything to do with a man or money (I could be wrong though)..... but whatever it's in the past and now I had to figure out if I was going to drag this little girl for the shade she had been throwing since we pick her and my sister up from the airport. As I stood by the back door watching Quran and his mom walk around the pool, I realized he was another reason that I reached out to my sister; despite the way I've been treating him these last few weeks he was still willing to help Jacobi with whatever it was that he was going through.
"Miss Ethel, do you mind cooking something special to welcome my sister and Poochie into my home? It doesn't have to be extravagant... just one of your many specialities." I asked and Miss Ethel looked at me as if she was the boss and I was the employee. "Is there a problem?" I asked.
"I'm sure you can find your way around the kitchen, as I told you a month ago, then a week ago, then yesterday; I have a dick appointment scheduled for tonight, tomorrow, and quite possibly the next day so y'all will be on your own." Miss Ethel said gathering her bags. "I'll see y'all in a few days toodles." She said waving as she walked out.
"She seems nice....." My twin sister Rachel said walking into the kitchen and with a jolt, I realized this was the first time we've been alone together since she arrived. "Look I still remember grandma's chicken alfredo recipe and I don't mind cooking since you were kind enough to allow Quran to come down here." Rachel started searching around the kitchen for everything she needed and it was taking longer than I would've liked.
"Girl move, I was always the better cook anyways.... Grandma taught me all of her tricks, you were too busy chasing after boys." I said smirking.
"That's a damn lie and you know it, I was only chasing after one dude and that was the man I ended up marrying, you, on the other hand, had how many dudes up in your room?" Rachel asked and I paused to think about it. "And the only reason you're saying it was me is because you used to tell the dudes that you were me....." Rachel said bitterly and then the pieces were starting to fall back into place as to why we started beefin in the first place, okay so it was over a dude.
"Look what I did was fucked up but you took things waaaayyy overboard." I said looking at my twin as she began cutting the chicken with a little more aggression than necessary. "I was playing a joke and you...." Rachel looked at me and I could see her hand shaking.
"You pretending to be me is a joke, hell we used to do it all the time. But you crossed a line when you pretended to be me to make out with my dude when he caught on to your act you told him that it I approved of that bullshyt.... causing me and Big Q to break up." She said and I could tell it was still a sore subject for her.
