"You want me to adopt Max and Chloe?" I asked, shocked at what Maya just asked me
"Yes...you and I are married and we have a child and another one on the way and I want you to adopt Max and Chloe so they can truly have a father." Maya said in all seriousness
"Maya...is that such a good idea? I mean, Max is Cams son he has a father-"
"Had a father." Maya said cutting me off
"And Chloe is Zigs daughter, even though he has made bad choices, I don't want to replace them." I said looking at my wife
"They aren't in their lives anymore, your their father! you love those kids as if they were your own!" Maya said
"I guess your right...I'll do it, I will adopt them."
"Yes! that's great! also while we are talking about adopting...what about a dog?" Maya said drinking her wine that was sitting on the table
"A dog?" I said as she caught my attention
"Yeah! I mean, the kids all want one and I've always wanted one but my parents would never let me have one while growing up."
"Miss Maya you are just full of things to say today." I said while drinking my glass of wine
"I always have stuff to say I just like to wait till your in a good mood to say it." Maya said as we toasted to our new life
