The Thanksgiving Disaster

Hey guys I'm back!!!!!! This chapter is going to be really funny! It's going to bring up old issues with family and stuff.

Miles' POV

Oh Thanksgiving...Maya's least favorite Holliday. she hates it cause of the family issues that come up and this year...the whole family's coming here.

Maya's POV

I. Hate. Thanksgiving. I hate having my family here to judge me. I hate the cooking. I hate everything about it.

I was cooking the turkey when Miles came in the kitchen,

"UH, THIS DAMN THING, IT WONT FIT IN THE DAMN OVEN AND IT WONT EVEN COOK!" I said yelling and throwing things

"Woah babe, what's wrong?" Miles asked coming in the kitchen

"I just found out that Katie and Jake are flying in with their kid and my parents are coming and my cousins and aunt and uncle too, and add your family!" I said hitting the turkey several times

"You need to sort out your priorities..." Miles said in a whisper

"I heard that!"

Everyone arrived around 5 and we were settled in the living room talking,

My mom and dad, Jake and Katie and their daughter Melissa, my aunt Alice and Uncle Mark and their kids Anne, Frank, Holly, Brianna, Alex. Miles' mom was here along with Frankie and Winston and their son Derek and Hunter and his girlfriend Alice who is still pregnant.

"Ok everyone it's time to eat!" I said pushing people to my table

Once everyone sat down I looked to my husband,

"Miles dear, would you like to say something?" I asked

"Uh yes. let me just say it's a pleasure to have a lot of the family here today. I know that for my wife and I, it's been a hard year and we still couldn't be grateful enough for our beautiful home and our wonderful children and of course our lives wouldn't be possible without all of you so thank you." Miles said sitting down and taking my hand

"Let's eat!"

After I put my kids to bed and the other kids were asleep also, all of us had a drink or two...or three...okay four.

"Oh my god Maya, I remember the one time in middle school when you tried to be all bad ass and you broke in to the schools cafeteria with your friends and you got scared and ran out." Katie said as everybody laughed

I just hid in my spot

"Oh I remember one time when Maya and I went out camping and she saw a lizard and called it an alligator, and then she ran!" my cousin Zach said

I took another drink

"I remember once on a dare, Maya and I had to make out!" Jake said

everyone stopped laughing and looked at Jake and me

"Oh my god." Katie said covering her mouth

"Maya did you really do that?" Miles asked

I just keep drinking my wine

"She used to always bring that Cam kid over and he would not even look at her and Maya would do the stupidest things to get his attention like-" Katie started to say

I got up and ran up the stairs

Miles' POV

"What the hell is her issue?" one of Mayas cousins said

I just got up and follows my wife

I found her in our room crying on our bed,

"Maya..." I said sitting next to her

"they can't not talk about him! I love how they only bring him up when your around!" Maya said crying

"It's ok..." I said

"No it's not! nobody in my family likes you!" Maya yelled

I kissed her. it's the spontaneous things I do that make her feel good about herself. it got deeper and deeper until Maya finally told me to close the door,

"No Maya. we have people downstairs!" I said

She just pouted and went back downstairs. I followed along and when we got to the bottom of the stairs, I kissed her again,

"Get a room!" Jake said walking by us

We just chuckled
