The Call

Miles POV

Maya was down stairs getting the kids for school while I was still getting ready.

She's a super mom. She puts so much pressure on herself even though she's amazing at it.

I walked downstairs and saw Maya running around the living room and kitchen

"Maya...Maya...Maya, baby calm down what's wrong?" I said trying to get her attention

"I can't calm down! I haven't had my run yet because Maddie woke up crying at 6 this morning and Max told me that he has an essay due today and Chloe needs 20 cupcakes for her class today! I can't do it Miles!" Maya said pulling her head on my shoulder

"Ok Maya go for your run and I'll take care of the kids." I said making her look at me

"Are you sure?" she asked shyly

I nodded yes

"Thank you baby, I love you!" Maya said running out

"Ok Max what's your essay about?" I said walking over to Max

"Colonial times." Max said

"Ok you can write about the Boston Tea Party it's pretty cool."

"Got it dad!" Max said staring to write his paper

"Now Chloe what's up with the cupcakes?" I said turning to her

"I need 20 vanilla cupcakes for my class." Chloe said

"Ok let's do this!" I said getting prepared to bake

And hour later Max is done with his essay, Chloe has 20 cupcakes, and Maya is back from her run

"Hey baby." I said walking to the door

"Hi." Maya said jumping onto me, rapping her legs around my waist and putting her arms around my neck

"Why don't you come take a shower with me?" Maya said kissing me and grinding into me

"Maya...i have to get to work and take the kids to school." I said pulling away

Maya groaned and jumped off of me, going upstairs

When Maya left, the phone rang

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Mr Hollingsworth?" the lady said on the phone

"Yes this is, who is this?" I said questioning the lady

"This is Linda from Child Protective Services, I believe that we have your son."

"I don't have a son..." I said trying to comprehend what she was saying

"Oh is Lukas Hollingsworth born 3 months ago, not your son?"

"Lukas? My wife Maya had a still birth three months ago." I said

"Well that is not true. Mrs Hollingsworth was told that she had a still birth but, the nurse stole your son and he was reported missing from the hospital. we found your son with the nurse last month. he is happy and healthy." Linda said

"Um ok I don't know what to do."

"Well we can arrange a time where you and your wife can come and get Lukas."

"Ok um we can come down later today."

"That is great Mr Hollingsworth. see you later. have a great day."

"You too."

I hung up the phone and called for Maya

"Maya! come down here." I called up the stairs

"What sweetie? what's wrong?" Maya said coming down the stairs, dressed in her classic jeans and plaid button down shirt with Converse

"CPS just called us....they have Luke."
