Maya's POV
It's been half a year since the accident. I'm still scared every time I get in the car. the kids are all better now but I still have issues. Miles has been so sweet to me. he's been bringing me my things when I'm to sore to get out of bed and he calls the doctor every time I have a headache. now that's the Miles Hollingsworth that I married. the sweet, caring boy that I love so much.
Miles and I decided that we wanted to try for one more kid. We've been going at it like rabbits for 2 weeks. when I got pregnant with Maddie I knew I was pregnant within 4 days. I don't know what's wrong with me but I have to go to the doctors today anyway.
Miles took me to the doctors and we were in the exam room.
"Hello Mrs Hollingsworth, I'm doctor Duncan." the doctor said
"Hello." I said
"Ok so what is the problem?"
"Well my husband Miles and I decided that we wanted to try for another baby and we have been trying for 2 weeks now and I'm not pregnant yet."
"Well I looked over your test results from your accident, it seems like your trama surgeon missed something really big...because of your tiny frame, your pelvis was crushed." the doctor said
"So what does that mean?" Miles asked
"Your frame is crushed and that can't be fixed without a lot of surgeries so it means that you may not get pregnant."
"I can never get pregnant again?" I asked
"I'm afraid not, unless you want the surgery." The doctor said as she finished up my exam
On the car ride home I didn't say anything I just stared out the window and silently cried. I felt Miles put his hand on my leg and say,
"Maya it gonna be ok, we have 4 beautiful children at home."
"I know but I wanted one more Miles." I said still not looking at him
"Baby I know that your upset but we can get through this. remember how you acted after we thought we lost Luke? we got through it, we can do that again." Miles said as we got in the driveway.
"Let's just get inside so I can tell the kids that they won't be getting a brother or sister after all." I said while walking to the door with Miles
"At least we still have each other."
