Miles' POV
Those words were like a punch in the stomach. I know Chloe's not my kid but she is my daughter at heart. I raised her, I taught her things, she's my kid, in her father, and I'm gonna get her back.
"Maya, Zig's in jail." I said
"I called the police station and they said that he had broken out. what if he hurts her Miles?" Maya said, falling into my arms
"No one is going to hurt her you want to know why?" I asked, looking down at her
She nodded her head and I said,
"Because she's just like her mother, she's strong and careful, and she knows that she has to stay strong if she wants to come back to us." I said, never letting Maya go
"She's like you too." I heard Maya say
"How so?"
"Well, she knows how to fight because of you and she is smart about where she is going. she has a since of direction like you taught her." Maya said looking up at me
"You know that all of this stuff going on between us is effecting our kids." I said pulling her away from me
"I know...maybe, when we get Chloe back, we can...go out...sometime." Maya said
"Yes, sure!" I said, "but first let's focus on getting Chloe back."
We started calling the police and AMBER Alert and National Center For Missing And Exploited Children and they agreed to put a bolo out on Zig Novak and put an AMBER Alert out for Chloe.
We started going door to door, asking people if they had seen Chloe leave or being taken but nobody saw anything.
It's was about 11 at night and I was worried because the time limit for missing children is 3 hours at the most.
Maya is a mess she's scared out of her mind.
We didn't want to give up but it was getting hard not to give up.
We finally got the call.
They found Chloe.
