Trying To Process

Maya POV

I haven't told Miles about the baby yet, I don't know if I will. I came to my parents for help and that's what I'm getting. I'm gonna find my own house and start new again for me and my kids.

I never thought that Miles would hit me. he was never abusive. it's scary I know he didn't mean it but, he's changed and I don't know if I want my new baby around the monster he has become.

I love Miles, I always will but, I need time away from him.

"Hey Maya, how are you sweetie?" my mom said sitting at the window seat with me, the same window that Miles and I had our first kiss at.

"I'm fine" I said looking out the window

"Are you sure?"

"No...I'm not ok! I still love him so much mom even though he hit me!" I said starting to cry

"It's going to be hard to get over him Maya."

"But I don't want to get over him! we just got married and now I'm going to have another baby I can't do it without him mom!"

"Then apologize to him for leaving."

"He won't even talk to me."

Just then the door bell rang

Mom got up to get it,

"I wouldn't be so sure about that...hello Miles come on in."

I stood up to look at him

"I'm going to leave you two alone." my mom left the room

"Miles...what are you doing here?"

"I came to take you home. Maya I miss you, so much. I can't go to sleep at night knowing that your not there to cuddle with me!"

"Miles, I love you but after you hit me, I don't know if I can come home."

"Maya please I've cried myself to sleep these past few nights I can't live without you!"

"I don't know Miles....what about your whore Haley huh?"

"Ok I guess I have to tell you.....Haley and I have been staying late at work so I can finish your birthday present...i was going to take you out to the restaurant that we went to on our first date, then I was going to take you on a walk to your favorite spot in Toronto, and then I was going to take you to the lookout mountain, the place that I proposed to you, and I was going to give you the speech that I did that day and then I was going to get down on one knee...and propose all over again."

"Wow...thats so sweet"

"And Haley was helping me make reservations and she's married anyway...I don't break up marriages...I have the best wife anyone could have... I have Maya Matlin."

"Maya Hollingsworth..." I said in a whisper

"What did you say?"

"Maya Hollingsworth." I said louder

"You still want me?"

"I never stopped." I kissed Miles passionately

"Hey I have to tell you something." I said while he was hugging me

"What's that?"

"I'm pregnant..."
