Tired Days

My eyes flutter open and I am greeted with the sexiest morning voice ever, "Good morning love" "Good morning goof"
  I kiss my husband to be lightly on the lips and get out of bed. I walk downstairs and am greeted by the smells of bacon and coffee. I walk into the kitchen, greeted by, for some odd reason, my ex boyfriend cooking breakfast.
  "Kian what are you doing here?"
  "I have a girlfriend Mady, we're just friends."
  I look at Kian in disbelief and not long after I hear the annoying voice of his girlfriend, "Um Kian? Who is that?"
  Soon enough I feel myself being shaken and the shrill voice of my ex's girlfriend, and the sexy morning voices of my two exes fading and the caring voice of my roommate, Cierra.
  So last time you heard from me was about 1 year ago, when I looked Kian in the eyes and friend zoned him, when I had a complete breakdown, and finally, the start of my sleepless nights, which lead to tired days.
  Brad and I are cool now, we actually live together,  along with Cierra and Mike.
  I met them all in college and we all connected. I ended up renting my house in San Fran and put down an offer for a house in LA. I ended up getting the house and finding roommates.
  Cierra and I met during a foreign languages class when I for some reason broke down, without knowing me save the 5 minutes we talked before class, she excused us from class and helped calm me down, from then on we have been super close.
Cierra looked at me with the same concerned look she gives me every time she has to wake me up from dreams like that, "Mady, I think you should go see Kara, you guys haven't talked in a couple weeks, it might be refreshing and keep you from having these dreams,and me having to wake you up from your sobbing sleeping conscience."
I lightly nod my head and get up to get ready, I do everything I need in the bathroom, including french braiding my freshly dyed blue hair, and putting on some light makeup.
I chose a black and white striped cropped tank top, light was slight distressed jean shorts, a light wash jean jacket with California embroidered on the back and some adidas.
I put on my backpack with everything I need in it and head out the door.
It takes me out 45 minutes to go 15 minutes across LA.
When I pull up to Kara's house I feel a smile spread upon my face almost automatically.
I run up to the door, so ready to see my Bestfriend. I knock on the door and head behind it, a small voice say "MOMMY SOMEONES AT THE DOOR!"
I heard Kara chuckle and inform Sabrina that she heard the knock. When the door opens, Kara just looks at me and smile, she comes in for a hug and says, "I've missed you Mads" when Kara pulls away I I tell her that I missed her too and feel little arms wrap around my legs. I look down and see the twins wrapped around my legs.
They are 3 now, which is crazy, cause it feels like just a couple weeks ago, they were newborns.I pick up Sabrina, who I call Rina in my own time, I hug her and kiss her cheek, in return she kisses my cheek and I put her down to pick up Kayden.
I struggle a little to pick him up but I do. I rest him on my hip and kiss his cheek, I walk into Kara's house, Kayden still residing on my hip and Rina holding my hand.
We sit down on the couch and the twins run back over to their play area and resume what they were doing before I got there.
"So, Mady, how have you been?"
"God, K, I have been miserable. I have awful nightmares and my roommate has to wake me up from them"
"M, I'm so sorry you have to go through that, we should go out soon"
"But you have the twins and you don't talk to Hunter, and you don't have  anyone to watch them,"I ramble.
  "Mady, calm down. I'm with Ashton, he can watch the twins."
  "Wait what?"
  "What do you mean?I'm with Ashton. We are dating"
  "So you are saying you start dating the person that I frikin ship you with so much, and you don't tell."
"I'm sorry!" She chuckled and threw her hands up in defense.
Before I knew it, it was 5pm and I needed to be home.
I stood up and hugged Kara, "I promise to come visit you soon, I would stay the night but tonight's my night to do dishes and fix dinner so I gotta go"
I squeeze Kara one more time and walk over to the twins. I picked up Kayden and made sure he was stable in my hip, then I bent down and picked up Rina and sat her on my other hip. Both of them reached forward and kissed me on the cheek and before I could protest, Kara took a picture.
I laughed and told the twins that I will see them soon and that I love them.
I walked out the door yelling to Kara that I love her also.
I made my way home, blasting my music with a smile on my face. Who knew that one day with my bestfriend and her littles would make me so happy.
When I got home I was greeted my Cierra yelling "FINALLY SHES HOME, I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO STARVE"
I chuckled and headed to the kitchen to fix a quick dinner. I chopped some chicken, and sautéed some peppers and made fajitas.
When it was all done I called everyone down and we sat around the island and ate our dinner.
After dinner I threw in a load of dishes and headed up to my bedroom. I got the Master bedroom because I bought the house.
  I hopped into the shower, my music blaring, and me singing along to it. I finished in the shower and did my face routine.
As I was settling into bed with my laptop, phone and headphone,no heard a knock at my door.
"Come in"
I did not expect to see Brad standing there. I know I said we are friends but I still have feelings for him, and every time I see him, my little heart just goes aflutter.
He shot me a shy smile as he walked over to my bed. He sat on the foot of my bed and after a few seconds of awkward silence, he looked up at me and my breath was taken away.
He looked me in the eyes with his beautiful green eyes and we just sat there for a minute. Eventually he took a deep breath and started to talk.
"So, I've been think about this a lot lately. How rude I was about the whole Kian situation, even though it was 1 year ago, I still feel like crap. I just want you to know that, at the time I had just come back from England, as you know, and I had met a girl there, I thought I wanted her more than I wanted you, so I was finding ways to push you away. And the Kian thing was the first thing that happened that I could act on. Honestly I didn't even care. And like you said, I understand, I understand 100%. I was really trying to stop from hurting you. Then when I called after you had been in LA for a week, I was over at your house, about to apologize, and you weren't home, so I made the excuse that I had to grab my stuff."
I just sit and look at Brad the whole time. Not reacting just sitting there.
"And I want to apologize now. It was stupid. The girl ended up having a boyfriend, and after she left me, and this is going to sound super douche baggy, I realized how much I wanted you back. I realized I had lost someone who meant a whole bloody lot to me."
Brad scooted closer, resting one hand in my thigh and holding my right hand with the other.
"Madelynn Ann Williams, will you please give me a second chance"
  He looked me in the eyes and squeezed my hand, I nodded me head yes and I could see his face brighten.
  "But we aren't rushing into anything, we will go on dates and you will earn the title of boyfriend is that understood?"
  "Yes, god Mady, I lov- appreciate you giving me a chance so much."
   He reached forward and grabbed each side of my head and pulled me forward caringly and kissed my forehead. I blushed furiously and smiled. He walked out and looked back at me one more time before he walked out the door and smiled again.
  It was nearly 3am before I fell asleep, it had just become a habit. When I did fall asleep though, it was instantly.
