Mady's Point Of View
I go in for my 4 month check up today and I'm nervous. They are going to check the gender today and I couldn't be happier.
I look over at Kian in the passenger seat and study him. His face is relaxed, and his hair is messy. It's an early appointment because we have more to do today, then the party tonight.
Kian flicks on the pointer and pulls into the parking lot for the doctor's office. I'm so nervous, I don't remover being this nervous with Adley.
He finds a parking spot fairly easy, and after parking, he gets out and walks over to my side to open my door for me. Yes, after all these years, he still opens my door for me.
  We walk into the office, hand in hand. He squeezes my hand as we walk into the office. I know he's nervous too, I can just tell.
  We sign in and sit down in the very uncomfortable chairs. Kian has his arm around my shoulders and I am leaning into him. My mom has Adley because our appointment was so early, but I still didn't sleep well last night.
  I close my eyes and after what feels like 3 seconds, Kian wakes me up and tells me that my name was called. I grabbed my purse and walked toward the nurse. When we walked through the door, we went to the scale and then to the room where she took my vitals.
  "Dr.Goode will be right with you", she says as she walks out the door.
  "Mads?"
  "Yes"
"This may sound rude, but you look a lot bigger than you did with Ads at 4 months"
  I look at him like he's crazy, but I had been thinking the same thing, maybe he/she is just a fatter baby?
   "You're crazy Kian, I think you are seeing things"
  We hear a quiet rap in the door and the doctor walks in.
  "Well hello Madelynn"
I smile politely at her. "If you'll sit back and lift your shirt up please. So you don't want to know the gender now right?"
  Kian and I nod our heads. "Okay well then let's get started."
  She turns on the computer and shuts off the lights. When the ultrasound gel touches my stomach I flinch because it's cold. She moves the ultrasound stick around and soon we hear a heartbeat, it takes up the whole room. I feel myself start to tear up because of the noise. Then I hear a second hear beat.
  Kian's Point Of View
A second heart beat? I look at screen and sure enough it's showing two babies. What?
  "So it looks like you have twins!"
I look over at Mady and she's sobbing. "Oh my goodness...oh my...", she mumbles to herself.
  She looks over at the screen and she looks amazed. "So because you have twins and you waited a couple weeks to come in, we can see the gender of the babies, that is if they are positioned in a way that we can see"
  Mady and I both look away as the doctor moves the stick around to try to find a gender. I can see Mady's chest moving up and down so fast. She's trying to calm herself down.
  "Okay Ms. Williams, we have written down the genders and pointed them out on the ultrasounds. I will see these get in an envelope and into your hands, you can check out at the front when you are all cleaned up. And congratulations you two", and with that the doctor walked out.
Mady's Point Of View
  Twins, I'm having twins. Wow.
  "So I guess Kara is going to have to fix everything  quickly" Kian said and followed it by an awkward laugh. I just nodded my head. Still in shock.
  Kian stands up and walks over to me grabbing my hands. "Madelynn, you are the strongest woman and mother I have ever met, you can have this twins and survive. I promise, I will be there with you through everything and won't leave you're side ever." I look up at him and pull him towards me. I connect our lips and then pull away. I didn't say anything after that. I just grabbed my purse and his hand and walked out of the room.
  Kara's Point Of View
My phone beeps and I look down at it. We are bringing home the genders now~ Kian
Genders?
Genders? There's only one baby~Kara
Genders. We are having twins, also Mady is in shock so when we get there don't take anything to offense~Kian
I didn't answer his text and just decided to find ways to get two of the gender reveal I had planned. I ordered a balloon a few weeks ago and told them I would have them fill up the balloon with the confetti color needed when we get there. I dial the number for the place and call them. They said they were able to make a new balloon. Just as I was about to hang up with them Mady and Kian walk through the door. "Would you hold on a second, I just got the genders and I will tell you" I say to the girl on the phone. I walk over to Kian and hug him cause he looks sad then grab the genders from him. By time I turn around Mady is already up the stairs.
I shake my head and make my way to the kitchen. When I get to the table, I sit down and open the envelope with my phone cradled between my shoulder and ear.
I see the genders and smile, I can feels tears forming in my eyes and wipe them away, before putting the papers and ultrasounds away.
I hang up with the person after confirming everything with them. Mady hasn't been downstairs since she got home. The party is in her backyard so I need her to leave the house in order to decorate.
I walk upstairs and find her sitting in the guest room, on the floor, just staring into space. I walk in and squat in front of her. I guess the good thing is that she is wearing her dress and did her makeup and is ready to go.
"Mady, honey, hey" I say and wave my hand in front of her face. She shakes her head, coming out of the thought she was having. "Hi Kara" "Hi Mady".
She looks at me and I can see the worry sketched on her face. I reach up and lay my hand on her cheek. "Mady, do not worry about these twins okay. You will do fine. You are so strong and have more patience than anyone I know. Think about it this way, I had twins and I survived. If I can, you definitely can. And if you can't, I'll be right next door."
She doesn't say anything, she just leans in and hugs me. I can feel her take a deep breath and let it go. Thank God!
"Also M, I need you to either go to your mom's house or the mall or somewhere until about 2:30, that's about 2 and a half hours." She nods her head and I stand up, then help her up. She reaches down and lays her hand on her stomach. There she's finally accepted it, I thought.
I help Mady finish getting her things together and leave the house. Know I just have to send Kian off.
After Mady walks out the door I yell Kian's name. He comes jogging down the stairs in the outfit that Ashton helped me pick out for him. I smile glad that they both got ready even while accepting this.
"I need you to go find something to do, I don't care what, well to an extent, don't go sleeping with another girl, but go busy yourself, but not at the mall or Mady's Mom's house"
He nods and looks confused at the thorough instructions. He slips on his shoes and on his way out he stops and hugs me, "Thank you Kara, I honestly have no clue where we would be without you".
Mady's Point of View
I get into the car after Kara sends me out and start it. I am going to go to my mom's house and grab Adley and take her shopping with me.
I drive over with the music turned up to keep me out of my thoughts. When I pull into the driveway, my mom is outside on the front porch with Adley, reading to her.
I open the car door and step out. "Please tell me you aren't reading Nicholas Sparks to my 7 month old child momma", my mother looks up and smiles.
"Hi, baby! Here to pick up miss thang here?"
I nod my head and walk up to meet her on the porch. I hug my mom when I get up there then grab Adley from her bouncer on the floor. She squeals when I pick her up. "Oh my gosh you sure are happy to see me aren't you?" I say to her and she squeals again.
"Come on baby, thank you momma", I lean over and kiss her cheek and take Adley back out to the car.
Kian's Point of View
I get into my car and sit there for a second. We are really lucky for having Kara around to help us, Mady mostly, with everything.
I pull out of the driveway, not sure what to do. I was banned from the two most entertaining things in a 20 mile radius. I think about it for a second and decide to go see my own parents.
Mady's Point of View
*2 hours later*
I pull into the driveway next to Kian in his car. I look over and smile at him once I'm parked and he comes over to open my door for me. When he does I step out and wrap my arms around his neck. "Thank you" I say. "What for?" "Everything" I lean forward and peck his lips. Then I walk to the back door and grab Adley out of her seat. "Where did you get so many baby clothes Madelynn?" I look at Kian and laugh. "Carter's. Kara told me to go to the mall, so I did what I do best, buy baby clothes. Some for Adley and some for our two new babies, gender neutral"
This time he laughed at me. I slapped his arm, "Shut up". Kara walked out of the door and smiled at us. "Okay you three, I'm going to need a blindfold on Mommy and Daddy and Adley to come to Auntie K." Obviously, hearing this, Adley reached right out to Kara and we were handed blindfolds. We tied them around our eyes and locked hands. Kara led Kian and I was led by Kian.
We get to our stopping point and I can hear Kara hell from a bit of a distance "Hold up! I gotta grab a couple things." We stand there and it feels weird, we have no clue who is here or what anything looks like. "Okay I'm sitting a big black balloon in front of each of you. Do not remove the blindfold before the count of three, then take it off and look nowhere past the balloon and pop it. Okay 3...2...1 Go!"
  I take off my blindfold and can see out of my peripheral vision that Kian has his off too. We both grab the needle on the string and pop the balloon. Blue confetti falls out of both of the balloons. I can hear myself screaming from joy and the tears flowing down my cheeks.
  I look over at Kian and he is crying too. I hug him and we stay like that and sway back and forth for a minute. We are having twin boys. Oh my goodness.
  I let go of Kian and there are blue decorations everywhere. There are copies of the ultrasounds on the tables. My mom is here, so are Kian's parents. I look over toward the fence separating our house from our neighbor's and there stand my best friends. When they see that we have noticed then they come running towards us. Franny is the first one to us and hugs me first. "Congrats Mady, I can't wait to spoil those boys and Adley to death." I chuckle at the comment and she moves on to Kian. Then comes a line of Chelsea, Jc, Bobby, and Corey. They all say congrats and hug me. They are all so supportive of everything. I am so glad they are apart of our life.
  The rest of the day flies by. We hang out in the backyard until finally it's sun down and everyone starts yawning. We clean up and shoo everyone away after. Kara heads to the guest room and Kian and I take Adley to her room and head to our own. I walk into our bathroom and tie my hair in a ponytail, slip on sweats of Kian's and a plain black cami of my own. I brush my teeth and all that then go lay in bed. Kian does the same thing, except for in his own way, and joins me in bed. I curl up next to him and breathe in his scent.
  "So we went from being parents to two to being parents of 3 in a span of 10 hours." I chuckle and I feel his hand rest on my stomach. "But guess what, we are going the best parents of 3 anyone had ever seen"
