*1 month later* Kian's POV It's Christmas Eve and we are all gathered around the fireplace with cocoa and cookies. Mady is holding her brother on her lap and Iowa is next to her. He's been very protective lately, Iowa, not her brother. I think Iowa can tell she's pregnant. When they go on their jogs, he always has his ears perked up, listening for danger. At Mady's House they have a tradition to open one gift on Christmas Eve and they get to choose. We all moved to the Christmas tree and started opening. Tyler opened his gift from Mady, which is a PlayStation of sorts. Angela, Mady's mom opened her gift from me, which was a locket with a picture of all of us in it. Then Mady opened one of her many gifts from me. When she picked it up I almost took it out of her hands, then decided that I would go ahead and let her open it. She grabbed the box and started unwrapping it carefully. When she got to the picture frame I saw her tear up. She stood up and walked over to me. She leaned down and kissed me and hugged me. "I love it so much baby" I kissed her then pulled her down to sit on my lap. I opened my gift from Tyler and he got me a dress shirt and socks. Around 9:30 Mady and I headed upstairs and fell fast asleep, happily next to each other. *next morning* I wake up to an empty space next to me on our bed. I check the time and realize why Mady is missing. It's 5 am. Her body is set to 5 am for Christmas I swear. I walk down stairs to see her sitting on the couch just watching the fireplace and sipping on a mug of hot cocoa. I walk over and she didn't look up for a few seconds. When she finally realized I was there she gave me the sweetest smile ever. I joined her on the loveseat and turned on the Hallmark Channel. Mady always cries at the Christmas movies. They all have the same plot but she still cries every time. We ended up finishing 1 1/2 movies before her Mom and brother came downstairs. We all sat around the tree and opened presents. Seeing Mady happy is always the highlight of my day. Later while we were laying in bed after a late afternoon nap, I saw a lightbulb go off in Mady's head. She let out a small gasp and immediately grabbed her phone, within seconds she was on the phone with someone. Mady's POV {M= Mady K=Kara} M: Hello? K: Mady? M: Hey K: I haven't heard from you in a while, how are you? M: Better than you could ever imagine, how are the twins? K: They are like little grown ups toddling around, Ash doesn't know how to handle Sab's attitude. M: *laughs* she is a sassy little thing isn't she? K: takes after you somehow M: Well I was calling to tell you Merry Christmas and tell you some news. K: Continue... M: Well remember when I got pregnant a few years ago K: More than anything M: Well it's happened again K! K: YOU'RE PREGNANT?! M: YES! K: Omg Mady that is amazing I'm going to have to come see you soon, how far along are you. M: Well I'll be a month in a couple of days and there may be a little bit of a flaw in your plan to come see me... K: What do you mean? M: I kinda temporarily moved to Iowa with my mom and brother and Kian. K: MADY! M: I know, I know K: That's the second time, I hate you M: No you don't, but I was thinking maybe I could fly you, Ashton and the twins out for a week, or whatever works for you? K: Oh we would love that Mads. *End of phone call* Kara and I got off the phone and I felt so happy. I forgot how much I loved talking to her, then again that should be a given. Either way she is coming here and I couldn't be happier. Later I dragged Kian out of the house and we went shopping. Know that I know Kara is coming, I want to by gifts for her and the twins. We end up goin to the mall just outside of town so that we could hit the Carter's store. When we walked in, I immediately laid my hand on my stomach, thinking about the baby inside of me and thinking about it's gender and the clothes I would buy it. I picked out a little pink and white striped dress for Rina and an adorable little camo hoodie and light grey sweatpants/ joggers to go with it for Kayden. After we left Carters we went to Bath and Bodyworks, VS, Pink, Urban Outfitters, Pacsun, and a few other places. I left with a few things for me, and a few things for Kara. Kian got me into the car and said he'd be right back. He was gone for 10 minutes and then he came back. He opened the trunk and put something in there and then got in on his side. I decided not to ask what it was so I just left it alone. We drove home and listened to all of our favorite songs and danced it as much as you can without you are driving or in the passenger seat. We arrived at home and put everything away and took another nap. Hey you can't blame me, being pregnant makes to sleepy. Also I've been up since 4:50 am. ~~~~~~~~~~~~\~\~~~~~~~~~~~~
