Kian's POV
It's 5:30 in the morning, I come home and my fiancée and 3 month old baby are missing.
I look on the find my iPhone and her location isn't showing up, let's hope her phone has just died. I can't report anything yet because it hasn't been 24 hours so all I can do is sit and wait to see if Mady comes home.
7:30
I hear the lock in the door click and the front door opens. I jump up and Mady walks through the door. She starts to walk upstairs and I follow her.
"Mady, where were you babe?"
She doesn't answer,
"Mady, where were you?"
She doesn't answer again. We are in the baby's nursery and she lays her down in her crib and grabs the extra baby monitor, she kisses Ads' head and walks past me. She jogs down the stairs and walks into the kitchen.
"Madelynn, where were you, I come home at five o'clock in the morning and you aren't here, can you imagine how worried I was?"
She kind of hummed in response as I can feel my blood starting to boil. She pulls out the coffee bag and the filters. She's actually ignoring me.
I grab her upper arms and turn her towards me. When I see her, her eyes are all swollen and her face is all blotchy, like she has been crying for hours. I feel the anger in my face soften. "Baby what's wrong," I ask her, in almost a whisper.
She shakes her head and continues what she was doing. Is she kidding me? First she comes home at 7:30 am, ignores me and now won't tell me what's wrong.
"Madelynn Williams What is wrong with you?!" I ask getting more frustrated with each second that passes.
She shakes her head again and that puts me over the top. "Mady! Tell me what's wrong! You can't just leave with my baby, not tell me your gone then show up at 7:30 in the morning like it's nothing!"
I can see her start to tear up and I want to comfort her so badly but I can't.
"Just leave me alone Kian..."
"No"
"Kian..Leave me alone"
"No!"
"You know what?! Why don't you go ask your girlfriend in California what my problem is!" She slaps the lid down on the coffee pot and starts running up the stairs. I know she is going to Adley's room so that I can't talk to her cause she is sleeping so I try to catch up with her before she gets there.
Unfortunately I don't catch up with her and she locks her and Adley in the nursery.
"Madelynn I don't know what you are talking about"
"Shut up Kian Addy is trying to sleep"
"No come out of there we need to talk"
"No you need to shut up and walk away because our baby is finally sleeping, and unfortunately you aren't the one that has to constantly up with her breast feeding her, so shut up"
I'm taken aback by the way Mady is acting towards me, I have no clue why she is acting like this, so I call my mom to come pick up our daughter so we can hash out whatever this is.
She arrives 10 minutes later and I lead her up to the room. She knocks lightly on the door and introduces her self.
Mady opens the door slightly and lets her in. After 5 minutes my mom is walking out with Adley in her arms and a bag packed for a couple of hours. We make sure she takes extra milk, diapers and clothes, just in case. When she walks out the door Mady tries to escape upstairs again but this time I stop her.
"Now, tell me what you mean by 'Why don't you ask your girlfriend in California what my problem is'?"
She stares at me for a second and then opens her mouth to talk again, "you know what I'm talking about"
"Obviously not Madelynn or else I wouldn't be asking you what you mean?!"
"WHY DONT YOU TAKE A LOOK AT INSTAGRAM EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE AND SEE WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT YOU?"
Mady never yells. Never ever. This is too serious.
"What do you mean, what are they saying?!"
"There's pictures of you getting all cozy with Andrea in a cafe somewhere in LA!"
I take a second to think about what she said and I remember. There was a spill on the floor right by the register and I was trying to save Andrea from slipping so my first instinct was to grab her by the waist and pull her away, cause that's what I would have done with Mady.
"Baby I can explain that"
"Don't... call me baby"
"Let me explain Mads"
"No"
"Why not?!"
"Because you shouldn't have been out with her alone in the first place, you know that. I thought you had more common sense."
I went to speak but she kept going, "We have a baby now! She needs you to be here as often as you can and not for her parents to be arguing. You left because you were stressed but guess what? I am just as stressed! I pushed out this baby, I have to feed her from my own body. And any explanation you have would be a lie, they always are"
"No they aren't, what have I done to make you believe that"
"Everything since the first time we broke up Kian! The moving to California and telling me last minute, the getting drunk and calling me names, the leaving me in my hardest time, then leaving me again soon after I got pregnant and not telling me where you were, and now, being seen with your ex-girlfriend in a low key cafe with your hand around her waist"
"Those were all explained though. You won't listen to me I have an explanation"
"And yet instead of telling me the explanation you just keep saying you have one"
I stutter, she is so hurt. I can see it in her eyes and in the tears that flow down her cheeks, all of a sudden I feel warm tears run down my cheeks too.
"Mady, I love you so much and I would never do anything to hurt you, not purposely. There was a spill by the check out and I didn't want her to slip so I grabbed her waist out of instinct to move her. I was so in habit of doing it with you that it just happened"
She just looked at me for a few seconds then spoke up again, "I think we should take a break. Not break off the engagement, just take a break for a couple of weeks. You go back to LA and stay with Bob and I will fly Kara and her family out to stay with me so I'm not alone with Adley. And speaking of, I will keep you updated on her, let you FaceTime when you feel it needed."
I look at her in disbelief. I cannot believe she is saying this. She turns around to walk away back up the stairs.
