"Kiera......... "I slowly opened my eyes, I'm so tired but I feel that I really needed to stay awake for a while. I soon met with Aki's concerned eyes, the lighting in the house seems dull so I assumed that it's already night.

"........ What time is it? "I questioned. I'm surprised to find myself sounded weak yet too tired to make a huge deal about it.

"It's already eight. Have you eaten anything yet?" I could tell that he's worried, but I no longer wanted to lie.

"No........ I don't have any appetite to eat. "I replied honestly.

"Is that why that there's an IV here? "He asked as he gently poked the small pack of IV that Jin set up for me earlier.

"Yeah, since I barely ate anything recently. "

"Then, is there anything you would like? You're not going to last long if you don't eat anything. "I stared at him for a while, thinking about what he'd said. Something that I would like to eat........ Suddenly, Shinji's last moments came into mind........ That's right.........

"I guess........ There really is one........ But, I won't be able to eat it again. "I forced out a smile for him, trying to hide my bleeding heart.

"What is it? "He seems to be determined, but I know very well. That's something that I no longer have.

I slowly sat up, hugging onto my legs as he sat down on the edge of the bed, waiting for me to continue. I rested my head on top of my knees, staring at the sheets as I recalled that piece of memory in me. Perhaps the only good one to recall in my past.

"Do you remember my father's son? The half brother who actually treated me like a family? "

"Yeah, what about him? "He's confused.

"I was very insecure back then, terrified with everything that I wouldn't even eat anything........ I only sneak out of my room in the middle of the night for some food........ That life of mine doesn't look healthy at all and my brother decided to do something about it. "I smiled as I looked into his eyes, even he can sense this warm feeling in my heart. He looks happy seeing me like this.

"One night, I found some hot food waiting for me on the table. It didn't take me long to find out that he stayed up late at night just to make sure I eat right......... As days passed by, I found myself attached to him. Always following him around all day like some kind of puppy begging for food. "I chuckled at the memory. Now that I think of it, I looked so cute.

"He would always cook for me whenever I asked.........until he eventually stopped when he realized that he's fattening me up. "Aki joined me in the soft laughter.

"........... What would I do to have his cooking again...... "

"I'm sure you will. I'll find him for you if I had to. "Aki squeezed my hands, determined to grant that wish, yet I'm sure that it's no longer possible. I shook my head, telling him that he doesn't have to do it. After all, he had already granted that wish. I just didn't realize it until I lose it.

"You already did, Aki. "I mumbled.

"What? "He didn't seem to hear it, I didn't want to explain further if I did, I no longer know how to go on.

"Kiera?! "He gasped in surprise when I let myself collapsed in his arms, I'm tired.

"......... You've done enough. Just having you beside, is more than enough for someone like me. "I whispered as I allowed my body to relax. He didn't say anything, instead, he helped me lay back down.

".......... I need to go Tartarus tonight......... Do you think you're okay on your own? "

"......... Yeah....... I'll probably sleep through it though........." I replied as I finally gave in and closed my eyes. I'm too tired to think of anything else.

"Hey, Yuka-tan. "

"What Stupei?! "Yukari was annoyed as Junpei seems so relaxed in a fight.

"Don't Akihiko sempai seems different today? "Yukari turned once she eliminated the shadow with her arrows. To her own surprise, Junpei actually got a point, even Yuki had stopped just to stare at him.

The screams of shadows filled the hallways as Akihiko threw his fists. Destroying one shadow to the next to the point that he's like the shadows' Grim reaper. None of the juniors dares to interrupt as they can all sense that he's not in a good mood.

He's furious, angry with himself that he's so powerless to help her. Seeing her that weak on the bed, reminded him of his sister, reminded him how weak and powerless he is. It doesn't matter how strong he is in this scenario, he's helpless.

Every time he sees her, he had to resist the urge to take her to the hospital, he wanted to cling onto the last hope he had. But, he also knew what hospitals meant to her. Once she's in there, there's no way that they'll let her out again. If there's nothing that could avoid her certain death, the last thing he wanted is having her dies in a hospital, the last place she wants to be.

Later that night, he flipped and turned until he eventually gave up sleeping. His bed felt empty and cold, it doesn't feel right. That's when he recalled the night he shared with her. Even though she's dying in his arms, it's reassuring to know that she's there within his grasp. It has been a while since he last tasted fear, the fear of losing her is simply suffocating. He never felt this miserable in his life. It hasn't been a month since he lost Shinjirou, now he's losing her too. He needed a miracle, or maybe just peace in his heart.

".......... Shinji........ What am I supposed to do? "

It was quiet after the dark hour ended, she stopped in front of the room, hesitate to step in. Finally, she took a deep breath and stepped inside.

It's dark and cold inside. For the first time, she realized how empty and lifeless it felt. She gently traced along with the dusty desk before she sat down on the bed. She stared at the pillow for a while before she eventually picked up and hugged it. The guilt rushed up as she recognized the scent, the scent of the friend she labeled as a traitor.

She started to wonder, how much tears had this room hid? How much suffering left unrevealed? How many lies were used to cover the cruel truth? How many times.........had they ignored her silent cries for help? She felt responsible, responsible for everything. She's one of her closest friends and she couldn't even give her a single trust when it happened.

She wanted to help her, to at least recompense for all her sins. But, she doesn't know where she is. Even so, she had a faint idea of who does. Yet, he lied to her that day, that means that he doesn't trust her enough to know. She didn't blame him, she couldn't as she knew very well that her family is the main reason behind her suffering.

After a while, she reached for her phone and pressed a certain number. What her family did was simply unforgivable, but........ She wanted to at least.........atone for it.
