Chapter 75

    "How's Haruna? "

    "To be honest with you, I'm starting to suspect there are some addictive substances inside of Koromaru's fur. Cuz that the only thing she's glue onto since yesterday. "Ken laughed at the sight of Haruna burying her face in the dog's fur as he answered Akihiko on the phone.

     "I see...... That's good, I guess. "

     "Don't worry about it much, just enjoy yourself. "

      "...... I guess you're right. "

      "Rest assured, I'll make sure she's safe and sound. Besides, it's only one more day before you guys come back. So, we'll be fine. "Ken promised once more before he hung ended the call with one last goodbye.

     "..... Ken...?" She called.

     "Yes? "Ken asked with a smile as he walked towards her.

     "T......V..... "

     "Oh, you want to watch TV. Sure, come. "Taking her hand, Ken slowly guided her to the couch and turned the television.

"Okay, students. We will be staying here for an hour, please gather by the parking lots at the appointed times. Dismiss!" The teachers gave out all necessary instructions before dismissing the students to have fun on their own. The students went in their own separate groups to explore the temple which they have stopped at.

As for the group of SEES, none of them went along with the rest of their classmates. Instead, it was as if an unspoken agreement, they all gathered by the temple's prayer room which was rumored to have a connection with the spiritual world.

      "...... You guys don't really have to do this. " Akihiko stated as he stopped by the main entrance. The prayers and the offerings don't exactly need this many people to help out.

      "What are you saying sempai? I'm praying for a long-lasting relationship." Yukari smiled as she walks past Akihiko and entered the prayer room.

      "I'm here to pray for good health," Fuuka added on.

     "For the peace of the deceased," Mitsuru stated.

     "For good fortune." Aigis continued.

     "For..." Before Junpei can say his lines, Akihiko stopped him.

    "Okay, okay. I get it. Let's do it together then." Akihiko gave up, so he welcomed them instead as he stepped into the room as well.

     "Eh?! Why didn't I get to have a say?!" Junpei complained.

     "Does it matter?" Yuki asked as he too entered the prayer room, leaving Junpei behind.

     "Hey! Wait for me!" Junpei cried as he quickly followed them.

Inside the prayer room, all 7 members of SEES were quiet as they pay their respects to the Gods who blessed the land. Along with the rest of the offerings on the table, Akihiko placed down the watch which Kiera had given him before joining the rest in praying. 

The entire process went along without hindrance. Without anything else to do, they break out from the group and continued on their sightseeing around the temple grounds while Akihiko returned to the offerings table alone to retrieve the watch. He was surprised to find an old monk there, furthermore holding on the watch which he had placed there.

      "Ah, my apologies. I came back to get my watch." Akihiko apologized, thinking that the monk must've thought that he accidentally left it behind or something.
